Loved your reactions! Reallly hoping you get to do Season 2 because it's even better than the 1st season imo! This show is a masterclass of acting and writing and atmosphere and pacing and just general storytelling. The characters are distinct and compelling. All with plenty of flaws and things to love about them.

When they overheard her and Lestat and she says "now that I´m dead" she was referring to Lestat faking her death to Claudia and Louis. At that point she still had normal eyes and fingernails, so Lestat changed her at some later point. The show is so clever with it´s foreshadowing and hinting at things, like Armand not fainting after getting sucked. Also about Armand´s attire, he kept wearing gloves, to hide his vampire nails as well as contacts

My interpretation of the scene where Louis thought “I wanted him dead, I wanted him all to myself” about Lestat sponging the adoration of those in attendance was because he was jealous. You can hear Antoinette saying “You miserable dog” right after, and I think this is when Antoinette came to realize why Louis even agreed to kill Lestat. He didn’t agree to kill him because Lestat is abusive, If that was the case he would have done so after recovering from the drop but they were together 10 more years after that, what ultimately convinced Louis to kill him was Lestat cheating on him. Ultimately, when he had the opportunity and agreed to do it, he still chose not to burn him in the end. This is why I think Claudia underestimated Louis’ love for Lestat to some degree because she felt like she could have pulled Louis out of that honeymoon phase he had with Lestat as she was planning everything.
