Weekly update time!

In summary:

– Managed to outline around 7 pages for chapter 15 of the MMO series!

– Still working on the new narrated animatic video!

– Managed to practice colouring, gestures, and anatomy!

MMO Series Update | MMOシリーズの進歩:

This week I managed to make a satisfactory amount of progress for the MMO series. While there are 8 pages that are highlighted, some of them were not completely outlined as they contained the “Guards” whose 3d model I have yet to successfully transfer over from Blender. What I mean is that it’s possible to transfer a 3d model from Blender into Clip Studio Paint, and then use it as a 3d asset within Clip Studio! The problem is that the process is not as straight forward when the 3d model has bones or is capable of movement. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, haha.

I also had to redraw some panels with my newfound knowledge of the female anatomy, meaning to say I could’ve done more pages, but I think the redraws are worth it! We’re about halfway done with chapter 15 too!

Anyway, I’ll try to do more pages next week!

今週は、MMOシリーズを満足いくまで進めることができました。8つのページがハイライトされていますが、そのうちのいくつかは、まだBlenderから3Dモデルをうまく転送できていない「ガード」が含まれているため、完全にアウトライン化できていません。つまり、BlenderからClip Studio Paintに3Dモデルを転送し、Clip Studioの3Dアセットとして使用することは可能なのです。問題は、3Dモデルにボーンがあったり、動きがあったりすると、このプロセスはそれほど簡単にはいかないということです。私のやり方が悪いのかもしれませんが。

また、女性の解剖学的な知識を得たことで、いくつかのコマを描き直さなければなりませんでした。15章も半分くらい終わったかなー。

Animation Update | アニメの進捗:

I’m finally able to begin animating for the latest video I’m working on! Over the week I’ve managed to finalise the final version of how the video would look, thus allowing me to know how long each animated section would be!

ようやく、現在制作中の最新ビデオのアニメーションを開始することができたよ。この1週間で、ビデオの見栄えの最終版が完成し、各アニメーションセクションの長さもわかるようになったよ。

There are also quite a number of still drawings as well.

また、静止画もかなりの枚数があります。

It’s taken a while, but it’s slowly coming together!

My aim is to release the video somewhere in the following week if possible, but until then, I hope you’ll continue to look forward to it!

Warm Ups + Studies | ウォームアップとスタディ:

Managed to practice slightly more than last week, so I guess it wasn’t so bad. Still feel the need to work on anatomy though.

先週より少し多く練習できたので、そんなに悪くはなかったと思う。でも、まだ解剖学の必要性を感じている。

I’m having quite a bit of fun drawing female Rando over these anatomy drawings. Maybe I’m just too horny.

この解剖学的な絵の上に女性のランドを描くのはかなり楽しいです。ムラムラしすぎかも。

- Colour Practice | 色彩練習

Not too happy with how colour practice turned out this week. This is actually my second attempt, and even then I feel the lights and shadows could’ve been done better. I figured it would’ve taken too much time to try a third time, so I’ve uploaded it here instead. Gonna try and do better next week.

今週の色彩実習の出来にはあまり満足していない。これは実は2回目の挑戦なのですが、それでも光と影はもっとうまくできたと思います。3回目の挑戦は時間がかかりすぎると思ったので、代わりにここにアップロードしました。来週はもっとうまくできるように頑張ります。

I’ll be honest, this week felt a little slow to me. I guess it’s because both the MMO series and the animations don’t seem too close to completion despite already taking so long. I actually write down the progress I’d like to achieve every week as goals on a small notepad, but the list seems mostly incomplete this week. One of the things I wanted to implement by this week was the donation button on this site as well, but it seems that I will have to reschedule this, among other tasks.

All is not bad though! Baby steps are better than not moving at all! Perhaps it’s just me being too particular about pace again. I’ll try to pace myself better next week!

正直なところ、今週は少し遅く感じました。MMOシリーズもアニメも、これだけ時間がかかっているのに、あまり完成に近づいていないように見えるからでしょう。実は毎週、達成したい進捗を小さなメモ帳に目標として書き込んでいるのですが、今週はほとんど未完成のようです。今週までに実装したかったことの一つは、自分のサイトにも寄付ボタンを設置することでしたが、これは他のタスクと一緒に予定を変更する必要がありそうです。

しかし、すべてが悪いわけではありません。全く動かないより、少しずつでも前進する方がいいのです。もしかしたら、また私がペースにこだわりすぎただけかもしれません。来週はもっとペースを上げていこうと思います。
