Hi Laserllama! love this subclass, I would maybe suggest allowing this subclass to stack shields with their Mantle AC? as written in the base class they cannot be used together

Thanks for the support! 1. Yes, the bonus action attack always has to be an unarmed strike (if you could make a greatsword attack as a bonus action that would be overpowered). The Vessel's unarmed strikes scale regularly, so it makes it easy to predict how its damage will grow over time. 2. RAW no, but I don't think it would be unbalanced at all to run the Aspect that way. 3. No difference, same as if you had grappled a creature with two hands as a normal human. The creature would also only make one saving throw for Drain Vitality. It'd make the feature overpowered if you ran it the other way.

Hey there laserllama! Huge fan of your work, I have been silently following it for a year or so now. Thought id at last give your patreon a try! Seems quite worth it. That being said, I have three question about the vessel class and the RAI mechanics of it. the celestial and mystical subclass both turn weapon strikes into a iridescent strike. That being said, one of the core vessel features of the vessel class is that it can make a "extra UNARMED iridescent strike as a bonus action" if they take the attack action. Thus If I understand the formulation- does that mean only attacks made from the attack actions with a melee weapons turn into a iridescent strikes for the concerned subclasses? And thus the bonus action attack is ALWAYS unarmed? I am asking because I love the flavour of having a martial PC with a spirit within helping them fight with swiftness and strength- with their martial weapons- Not quite into possibly having to choose between the character concept or a bonus action attack that can only be a unarmed strike- especially if I want to do some gish multiclassing to allow the PC to cast spells while wielding a two-handed weapon (and thus not have a free hand to make a unarmed strike). A second question before a last one: For Uncanny strength, is it intended to also augment the carrying, lifting capacity of a character while in spirit mantle? Honestly, id love it if it did! Whether it is implemented already or could be! As I picture the fantasy of the class and of uncanny strength, I love the idea of being a low STR character- who once spirit mantle activated, can lift boulders above his head like they weight like feathers, much alike a 20 STR character! But- using CHA instead. Anyhooms, hope that question isnt too confusing. At last, for the formless archon, what would happen if the archon were to grapple the same creature with all of its pseudopods? What if they do AND also use drain vitality? Would they have to make a escape check equal to each pseudopods grappling them each time they take the action to try and escape, rolling all the saves at once for every pseudopods? Would they get disavantage on the save? Would the escape DC grow higher? Or would it just do no difference (which frankly, id find unfortunate). Same question goes for drain vitality! Would they take 2d8 acid damage for every pseudopods they are grappled by? Here again, id find it to be a shame that it would make absolutely no mechanical difference, although I could totally see how from a balancing standpoint, those implementations could be tricky to not make overpowered. Anyhooms, 'dis the questions ive been wondering about for a bit now whennit comes to the vessel class. I wish ye' a lovely homebrewing continuation and a neat day/night to whoever else be reading this ^v^
