Spell Compendium Update!

Hey all!

Been working behind the scenes on some spell updates for my Spell Compendium. I think most of the changes are self-explanatory if you’ve used these spells, but I’ll share some of my thought process.

Cantrips:
Acid splash, blade ward, poison spray, and sword burst have all been improved as to be useful in game. No more hindering yourself for picking these options!

Guidance, resistance, and sword burst have all been reworked around reactions. I know OneDND tried something similar (but I think their versions are overpowered). Let me know what you think of these!

Sap is a new necromancy Cantrip I created to give every necromancer the ability to drain a little bit of life out of their foes. Probably going to keep it Wizard exclusive.

Leveled Spells:

I’ve improved the (previously useless) jump spell so you can actually use it to jump further, combined arcane lock and knock into one spell (lock/unlock) in the same vein as enlarge/reduce, and added hit points and an AC to tiny hut to give it some weaknesses.

Counterspell has been adjusted to be a contested ability check that adds the spell level to the check (advantage on the check if you know the spell you’re countering)! Let me know what you think of this! I think it does a better job of mechanically representing the fantasy of a spell duel.

Hey laserllama! Have you updated the gmbinder yet? Idk if it’s just me but I can’t find any of the new spells.
