It felt like the right time to finally tackle this song, so may I present my cover of Chappell Roan's Pink Pony Club.
A couple fun facts about the lyrics:
LA and Tennessee became Calais and Annecy, respectively. These two cities are on opposite ends of France, and are under 200 leagues apart (it's more like 150, but that didn't sound as good).
Saint Cecilia is the patron saint of music.
Saeterndaeg is the Old English word for Saturday.
Annecy is in the South of France, in the Region of Rhône-Alpes. The Southern French accent is sometimes called l’accent chantant, or “the singing accent” for its musical nature. I changed "drawl" to "lilt" as a nod to that. Do we have any French folks in here? Bonjour to you if so!
I hope you enjoy! The video will likely go live on Youtube on Monday. As for a Patreon extra for this month, I will do my best to make one follow up post before December. I had to focus all my energy on this cover and caught a nasty cold two weeks ago, so I haven't been able to put together anything big, but at the very least I'll aim to share a couple goodies.
