Baba Yaga: Witch's hut in the forest ambient fantasy music

Good day, dear patrons! My apologies for the wait on this, but I'm very excited to present my first ambient song. Witch hut in the forest won by a good margin in the poll, so this piece is based on that prompt. And of course, which witch hut is more famous than the chicken legged house of Baba Yaga? I created the cover from scratch and included lots of spooky and cozy textures to create some moody Autumn vibes. I'd love to know if you end up using this in a D&D game or just in the background while you read a good fantasy novel.

Finally, I'd love to hear how you're doing! It's getting dark and this season can be a little tough. I'm going on lots of rainy walks and listening to Woodkid and Hozier, cooking stews, and trying to sort of embrace the moodiness rather than fight against it. Is there anything that's keeping morale up for you, or something you're looking forward to?

Sorry for the late reply! Yes that's a great idea, I'll aim to get these exclusives up on Youtube in future.

This is unbelievably lovely, discovering a whole new aspect of your creativity! I know I am a year late to this - but coincidentally, as I discovered this, I was brewing a cauldron's worth of beef broth... Witchcraft works in mysterious ways, I guess? :) May I humbly request more of these? Like some folks here, I'd love it for my D&D campaigns. Also, if you could make the exclusives available on Youtube, let unlisted, that would be fantastic!

I shared with my DM. She demands more!

Making stew! Found handwritten notes from back when mom told me how to make stew. It is so good!

Something fun... I think anything from Terry Pratchett should do ya well. (The Wee Free Men or Guards! Guards! are two good ones)

Kyle van Tol

Thank you! Yes, one must imagine that they are a mysterious monk recording some important chronicle in a sunlit scriptorium.

Hildegard von Blingin'

This is wonderfully done! Thanks for doing it. It may not be playing DND, but I have been listening to it while drafting a file naming convention for my department at work. Makes the task more intriguing.

Sounds like you have a really full season ahead of you! A gaming retreat sounds incredible. And I'm so honoured to have inspired a character. Shy Firbold monk-bard sounds right on the money. :)

Hildegard von Blingin'

I'm constantly crocheting, opting for brighter, vivid colours in the dark seasons. And I'm preparing gaming sessions both for my own campaign, as well as for a game I'm just playing in. Also, I'm going to a week-long gaming "retreat" at the beginning of December (board, card and roleplaying games), and prepare smaller games for that as well. The ambient music is wonderful and would've fit perfectly a couple of weeks back when my players had to journey into a swamp to ask a benevolent female Elven healer for help with a plague. The singing would've made it harder for them to figure out that they were actually meeting a malevolent hag that caused the plague in the first place. But since I have a NPC based on your persona ready to meet the characters soon, this makes a great way of introducing the shy Firbold monk-bard to the players. Thank you for your inspiring music.

Yes! I love that outlook!

Hildegard von Blingin'

It's a really good antidote, true. :)

Hildegard von Blingin'

Amazing, I hope the writing goes well! Such a nice activity when you can get in the flow.

Hildegard von Blingin'

I love this, thank you! Yes I've been meaning to read again. It's been tough, but I think the trick is just finding something fun. I used to force myself to read "classics" or books that were a little too smart for me to truly get engaged. (Also weird, a spacefolk banjo video showed up on my for you page just today...)

Hildegard von Blingin'

I think eventually I will!

This is my New Year. The autumn is a joyous time for me.

lynne gilliland

I've been writing and making art. Creating kind of helps me with the fall/winter blues!

catcard

Definitely listening to this while writing my fantasy novel! Coincidentally featuring a witch heheh 👻❤️

Tara Oakes

But as for this season, reading books (Magician by Raymond E Feist followed by The Empire trilogy by Janny Wurts I highly recommend), finding weird new music genres (spacefolk banjo anyone?)

Kyle van Tol

Beyond the quaint village, an ancient forest stretches its gnarled branches toward the heavens. Bewitching melodies, sweeter than honey, beckon careless villagers deeper into its shadowy depths. Whispers of promises and enchanting tales abound, drawing them closer to the heart of the woods. Legends speak of a mysterious witch who resides within, her dwelling an enigmatic house with chicken legs, forever wandering the labyrinthine woods, a testament to the forest's enchanting allure and eerie secrets.

Kyle van Tol

This is awesome. You definitely captured "autumn". Are you going to publish this outside of Patreon?

Andy

It does, and it worked out for the proposal already! And I'm a player in his game, so super cool

Susannah Paletz

Amazing, that sounds like the perfect combination!

Hildegard von Blingin'

That's amazing, I love that you have a no/low devices policy. D&D is so good for social connection and just slowing down and getting grounded. Can't imagine going for 24 hours, but I've definitely done some marathon games.

Hildegard von Blingin'

Thanks! <3

Hildegard von Blingin'

Thank you, I'm so glad!

Hildegard von Blingin'

Careful, the owner might put up a fight!

Hildegard von Blingin'

My husband is running an altered Wild beyond the Witchlight D&D campaign and will totally be using this for the next vision-scene, thank you! Also I'm going to use this while working on a proposal. Thank you, it's great.

Susannah Paletz

Fantastic! I love weekly our D&D sessions where turn off my phones and focus on the interaction with my group. Our local gaming shop just had a 24 hour Game-a-thon for charity. We were super tired, but it was a blast!

Onyx The Dane

This is brilliant!

Delightingale

Absolutely loved this!

I’m out picking mushrooms. After that, I’m going to hunt down a walking hut and add it’s legs to my stew.
