My guess is it's wotc dumping the last of their sealed boxes without having to sell them to distributors at wholesale, they get to undercut the current market price and sell them for higher than wholesale. Win win for them

2024-06-16 21:07:49 +0000 UTCit’s because the post release prices are just a joke and inaccurate… those prices will not be the same prices at launch (this weekend) it’s all hype and since you can’t even sell the products when these game store people posted these videos, the prices are irrelevant and shouldn’t be included until after release (like most game store streamers used to do) no credibility or integrity on youtube anymore with these people sadly

If this is out of line, by all means please delete, Rudy, but maybe useful information for everyone here. I've started selling some singles on TCGPlayer. I was going to sit out the MH3 launch for singles because of the normal dip that happens when sets launch (See Rudy's recent whiteboard discussing). I did notice that the Commander Collector went out of stock on Amazon late May early June. Rudy says he's not really going to get any (two?). Anyway, its up to $700 on TCGPlayer early June and the decks separately are selling for over $900 total. Amazon relists them at $600! Well, maybe I should pick up a few of those as almost nobody has any singles listed so I could be one of the few sellers listing the singles since they were out of stock, etc etc. Price was way up. So I order. Over the next two weeks, Amazon having them listed for $600 sucks down the price on TCGPlayer to where, as of yesterday, they were selling at $559. Come today, haven't heard anything from Amazon. Have they shipped? Got my store all set for the MH3 Commander Collector lead in to get lots of sales. Go check. Amazon says expected delivery is.... AUGUST 29th! So Amazon relisted early June and sold product they didn't have/weren't allocated which sucked the whole market price down from $700 to sub $600 today. Interesting move by Amazon that I don't fully understand..

Saw that moistcritikal picked up 15 mh3 boxes and in the 1st 3 boxes he pulled 2k in cards and by box 7 he hit a serialized kozilek. Is the EV on these boxes really that high?

The monthly post has the sale schedule of hot releases. If you want a single cheap $89 draft box. Simply go to paypal and send a small payment for $89 and add a note and that's it :-)
