LAST CALL - POKEMON CASES

In the last 12 months, i have attempted to give patrons a longer time frame to purchase cases of pokemon Scarlet/Violet Era cases after release date.

At this point in time, i feel the "good intent" was a mistake on my part.

All pokemon cases will be removed from the monthly list on 6/1/2024

I have noticed this has led to a trend of patrons private messaging me asking why i "charge patrons over market price" for sealed pokemon cases.

This has led to an increase in aggressive messages and behavior and used against me on product pricing and account closures.

Whats happening is a product releases....and by adding it to the monthly list and leaving the price the same, if the product increases in value, no one says anything and patrons keep buying it.

If a product drops 10% or more in price, and i leave it available on the monthly list for the same price for 6+ months it is screenshoted and used as justification for "scalping" patrons and treating people poorly.

I ran into this same problem back in 2017-2018 when XY era Booster boxes were on the monthly patron list and casued a lot of anger and account closures

 (Roaring skies/Ancient Origins/Primal Clash @ $79-$89 etc...)

This led to the removal of pokemon boxes from the monthly list for 5 years until i decided to give it a try again.

The Sealed pokemon Booster Box long game is a complex yet simple strategy that remains difficult for people to stomach in the short term. It requires a lot of capital, it will make you question your belief, and it is tough to stay the coures when you see no results.

Emotions and human behavior is a tricky path to walk and after 9 years of running a Patreon i still learn new things and adjustments are needed.

I have 2 long term goals with pokemon Booster boxes.

1. Build large positions for myself for the future.

2. Offer good/fair pricing at release to allow patrons a safe path for purchasing boxes/cases. But with Distribution cost around $92-$99 a box, its a nasty/emotional battle at release

Leaving Boxes available for long periods of time goes against both of those goals.
