Rudy's Opinion - Every 6 months i try to offer an older Out of print Pre-Release item as a way for patrons who missed out, to experience something from the past.
Theros Beyond death came out in early 2020, it was NOT a smooth release. The world was in chaos. Everyone believed magic was "over" due to the pandemic.
During launch Theros crashed immediatly, i waited to offer the draft boxes for many months. Once i upboarded the draft boxes, they did not sell good at all. Less than 5% of the patrons at that time purchased the draft boxes at $82 a box.
The Pre-Release kits were not well recieved either due to the "world ending" in 2020.
fast forward 3 years later, and it is very clear Theros was a well engineered set.
I believe this is one of the rare examples that 2020 Theros is actually BETTER than the original Theros.
Very little Pre-release kits from 2020 are now left sealed on the open market.
Funny how time changes perspective.

2023-01-30 02:56:49 +0000 UTCSome items like this, i dont have any loose Pre-Release kits. This is due to the fact that the Mythic Godl Stampted promo cards are usually aroudn 3 per case. Many stores will hunt those kits and dump the rest at a cheaper price.
