2022-11-01 04:05:33 +0000 UTCThe Fed does not always project 3%. The Atlanta Fed updates its GDP forecast after every economic release on its twitter stream. Nobody in their right mind is saying inflation is approaching 10%.

2022-10-31 18:17:04 +0000 UTCFed always projects GDP growth over 3%. I would expect that Q3 will be downward revised when final numbers come in. Also look beyond those topline numbers, inflation is approaching 10% which is going to eat up most of that gain on an inflation adjusted basis.

2022-10-30 02:10:06 +0000 UTCQ3 GDP was 2.6%. Although very early, the Atlanta Fed is seeing Q4 to be around 3.1%. It made no sense to claim there's a recession when the unemployment rate was 3.5%. 3 month yield is above the 10 year, a good indictor that warns of an upcoming recession. It probably means the Fed is going to overshoot to the upside.
