Are Mexican stereotypes true?

I am born and raised in the United States, and I compare how the people of this country stereotype Mexicans 🇲🇽 vs Indians 🇮🇳.

To my many Indian friends, I want to make clear that I love India and most of my closest friends I met from engineering school are Indian. The “genius” friend I often mention that got the $1M bonus is Indian. Bro is Ramanujan reincarnated.

I make a point about IQ in this video mostly to defend the Mexican people who are unfairly stereotyped in my country. Everyone in the USA already assumes Indians are brilliant because half of our tech CEOs are Indian haha.

Very good points. The subset of people who are in another country is rarely a fair representation of their country.

It's much easier for the brain to stereotype people. Suffice to say if you come from a tougher background, it's not unusual to bring those traits to the new environment. Similar to the MX story, there's a large VN migrants in JP on labor contracts doing factory work. And for some time... if not still, they were causing havoc, testing boundaries which makes VN ppl look like neanderthals in the eyes of the JP. Most of these (male) VN folks are from the country side, and their family have to take out debts to *get the opportunity to make it back & then some. So it wasn't a great start to begin with. Conversely, VN folks from the big cities tends to stereotype backpacking/low-tier nomad white folks as "loosers back home". In general, it's difficult task assimilate to a new country/culture. The social status of where you come from makes a big difference.
