2022-02-28 02:36:16 +0000 UTCIn my opinion, demand is basically coming from whales and speculators. As speculators leave the market prices will come down a bit. Whales who are not speculators will probably contribute to a slight decrease in supply, however that may be offset by new cards being opened. The problem I see with holding value in these cards is that in the long-term even if the price increases, the demand is likely to drop off significantly as people chase the next new shiny thing. Sold prices are alll that really matter. The question becomes whether you want to gamble $500-$700 (my guesstimate on potential price decline) on making an extra $500-$1000 (if the card actually starts selling in the $2k range). If holding the card doesn't have any significant impact on your ability to buy other things, then you can afford to be more patient. Personally I'd much rather hold some dual lands at the same value.

Got 1 "Hidetsugu, Devouring Chaos (Neon Red)" out of 2 BBs and 3 CBs purchased at a local store, thankfully that paid for the lot. Now the question I have is what do I do with it? Grade it, sell it, hold it. Last two sold on TGC for 2/26/22 @ $1400 and 2/27/22 @1500. There's two for sale on TGC for $1900 and $2500. How high (or low) will this card go. Any speculation?

(Do your homework and read the official product info from WotC for a specific product to know what to expect) Rudy definitely doesn't break the official shrink wrap and remove any potential promo cards.

So bolding alternate letters is close to recreating that effect in black and white. Or Rudy is sending out a secret code to his ultra secret double 1% tacos, you never know.
