With todays large amount of mtg news, i can confidently say, 2022 is going to be very successful for Hasbro and Wotc. The combination of a Double Masters 2 which means VIP Packs 2 is going to be a pricey adventure. 

The rumors of Returning to Kamigawa turned out to be true

The rumors of a new Unset turned out to be true.

The new "brothers war" is most likely going to be an artifact themed throwback to Urza / Mishra. I expect the return of "CHASE/Lottry" artifiact cards based on rumors.

The next dominaria set will be a huge hit.

In conclusion, even with amazon and price increases and Secret lairs everywhere, i expect mtg/hasbro to make record shattering profit and magic will hit a new high.

In addition, i expect the Magic the Gathering NETFLIX series to fail, but it will be successful for the card game in attracting new players, just like secret lairs.

2020 era MTG items - I expect Throne/Theros/Ikoria/M21 to have large moves in the coming 2-3 years. I firmly believe due to the 2020 disaster, below normal levels of supply are left sealed.

Secret Lairs - I dont like Secret lairs, but i do believe sealed secret lairs need to be a part of every sealed product collectors inventory. I reco buying in large quantites for the discounts and free shipping from wizards. Also pay using a 2% cash back credit card. Data is now showing that aging secret lairs have above average growth outpacing sealed draft boxes........................Sucks....but true.

Reserved List - Every day that goes by, i get more bullish that the RL cards have stabilized and collectors should have exposure even at todays prices. I strongly believe the future for A/B/U/R and 4 horseman cards is beyond comprehension.

Collector Boxes - We are now starting to get longer term data on collector boxes as Throne/Theros/M21/Ikoria are all aging. The price movement appears to be slightly higher than draft boxes. 

Moving on...

Pokemon Singles - I still am not involved with any single pokemon cards. Until the massive amount of pokemon cards in the grading que at BGS/PSA come back to market, i want nothing to do with pokemon singles for long term growth.

Pokemon Sealed Boxes - I believe this is still the location for the best risk/reward long term. Sealed product will always have a stronger floor price compared to any single card. I like the sealed new boxes and i like the vintage sealed pokemon boxes.

Pokemon 25th Anniv - If you havent heard, pokemon is releasing crazy premium items in the coming months for the 25th anniv. Most likely i will not be able to sell these items to the patrons due to lack of supply. I am expecting to get 5-9 of each item. It is not enough to run a sale. These items left sealed will age very well.

Metazoo NightFall Expansion - Nightfall will have a promotional kit in late November also. Yes the infamous "Rudy" card will be continued in the next release as a "Rudy card series" is created. I am still blown away at the markets feedback from the launch of metazoo. It is absolutly unbelievable and surreal.

Metazoo 2nd Edition - I do expect a promo launch for 2nd edition of the base set at the end of the year. I dont have any details on this item at this time.

~~~Card Games Being Monitored~~~

The following games are being tested and shared between myself and some other private individuals and a distributor.

Current feedback is as follows, and is subject to change.

Exodus - Brother/Sister created game, creating another expansion. Great concept,weaker card quality, lack of distribution, owners have separate full time lives/jobs. Weak secondary market due to lack of growth in the game, stores/distributors/big money are very skeptical. No security logos on outter wrappers.

Genesis - Great concept, good gameplay, poor card quality, passionate owners creating a great game, not secondary market friendly, wants all products to remain very cheap. Stores/collectors/distributors unwilling to make large moves. Stunting growth. No security logos on outter wrappers.

Sorcery - Early Stages, strong interest, strong concept, incredible art. Unknown execution.

D-Spirits -Early Stages, strong interest, strong concept, art is soft and does not appeal to many individuals, weaker card quality, Unknown execution.

Flesh and Blood - Overall - Market has stabilized, i am no longer seeing steep selloffs or price spikes. I dont expect any big moves up unless Tales of Aria is a homerun.

Flesh and Blood - Monarch 1st ed - The amount of collectors/stores/investors giving up and selling the mon 1st edition boxes continues to slow down but still occur. Price target remains 1k a box. Continuing to purchase as much as possible, no matter what anyone thinks.

Flesh and Blood - Tales of Aria 1st ed - I think any price under $200 is a great entry point with limited down side. At the same time,  idont see these boxes spiking to 600+ anytime soon. I would like to see a stable price of $200-$250 per box on the open market without any crashes or spikes for a smooth launch in 30 days.

Flesh and Blood - WHALES - I am surprised to see 1st edition WTR/ARC/CRU boxes at todays prices. I thought for sure they would reinflate higher but that does not appear to be the case. At this point  in the market, it is all about the future of the game. Everyone is a in a wait and see what happens mindset. Many large investors/collectors want to see how "The calling" events turn out to gauge the long term of the game.

Weiss - I am continued to expand Weiss every week with additional waves and products being added to my inventory. I still dont plan on covering weiss on the channel very often and would prefer the market stay calm as long as possible. Just crossed 20,000 Booster boxes total inventory in this brand. Split between 13 sets. 

Force of will - Simliar to Weiss, i feel the game continues to not get the attention it deserves. "The Seventh" is the newest set coming out in a couple days and will be offered to the patrons. I have 1,000'ish boxes and will be selling 50% and keeping 50%. Sealed product for FoW continues to perform better than expected. Great product for a diversified portfolio of CCG's.

Digimon - Sealed product and each release is still performing strong. I am curious to see what happens in the coming 12months+ when the exclusive lock is removed from a single distributor.

Final Fantasy TCG - I screwed this one up, i should have stuck with it, I dumped all the sealed boxes of OPUS I,II,III,IV,V to the patrons a long time ago for $60-$70 bucks. Should have stayed the course. Still bothers me to this day.

Crypto - I expect as Crypto "re-inflates" and breaks new highs in the coming months/years this will pull collectibles higher. It is now clear that MTG has a strong correlation to CRYPTO. Even if you dont like crypto it is something that must be monitored and considered.

World Events - I still believe the volatility of Covid and politics and random surprises is going to be keep the average person paralyzed from making any investments or risk related moves for there future. I expect most people to remain on the sidelines of stocks/real estate/collectibles. The average person is waiting for a "crash" or "pullback" to buy into most asset classes. While i expect some windows of opportunity and short term swings, i think the world will march forward and I remain very optomisitic.

I firmly believe the economy has EVOLVED to a point where it "feels" like the world is ending for some people while it is booming for others. This is a classic situation of perspective bias and is a dangerous thing that leads to poor emotional decision making. The flow of money and business has changed faster than ever and is leaving chunks of the population in the dust.

The market can remain incorrectly priced LONGER than a human lifespan.

I believe inflation is going to trap 70% of the country into an infinitie loop of treading water to pay bills and survive. While the other smaller chunk continues to ride the inflation bubble to the moon.
