Rudy's Opinion - The Adventures in the Forgotten Realm Concept for Magic the Gathering is a huge step in a new direction. The idea of "dungeon" cards and traveling through "rooms" each turn is a weird mechanic to say the least. In the short term, these boxes and cards are highly unpredictable. The market will either accept or reject this concept in the coming months with price appreication or declines.
The best thing this product line has going for it, is the draw of new players from other genres like D&D and boardgame players who will try magic the gathering for the first time.
Historically, mtg sets that introduce unique items and very "weird" concepts tend to age better long term.
Keep in mind, the ENTIRE Collectible CCG market is in a BEAR MARKET at this time. Expect above average price swings in both directions.

When wotc bought tsr years ago I thought these type of sets would have been automatic at the time. Very surprised it took this long. I enjoyed forgotten realms rpg/novels but can't wait for a Dragonlance set!!!

I think this set will do pretty well, not amazing, but pretty well. A lot of ppl talk shit (just like the walking dead secret lair) and still buy the product at the end of the day.

Mayble I'l lcrack some of the double masters / double masters VIP stuff I bought from rudy? I will likely just get a box of jumpstart else where and make that my first sealed product crack.
