You "place" orders by sending PayPal payment with an appropriate note stating what you ordered. The standard monthly post from Rudy has ordering instructions. Friday Night specials have ordering instructions. Be sure to READ the posts! Sometimes you can just send your payment, other times you have to wait until Rudy confirms your order after you comment wanting to buy on his post.

I'm really hoping to get some Strixhaven Collectors, I think it'll have a great value 60-90 out. As far as FaB goes, hard to figure what it'll do. does seem to be moving up across the board though. Would love a brick or three of that!

I presume that we're going to see patron bundles, but I do hope that there's some form of limit to ensure most patrons who want it can get it. I am hoping to open at least a couple boxes of monarch. I like the game.

it depends on his supply vs patron count, which he can calculate. If his supply is very limited vs the number of patrons - he does a comment rush and you have to get in the comment section. Otherwise, if he has enough supply to manage at least a 1-hour sale, he'll send updates stating x% sold out until he's down to about 10% supply - at which point he'll cut it off (allows him the wiggle room to deal with patrons who receive the updates late). He seems to do his best to honor every single order, so long as those orders come in timely and aren't an attempt to game the system by sending late to take advantage of his early cut off. In prior flash sales where he oversold, he has bought market-price boxes to fulfill them at his sale price - even if it cuts into his profit - because despite what the internets thinks, he's actually a standup business dude. In the case where he can't fulfill the orders, he has given people the option to swap it out for other product or take a refund (someone eats the paypal fees on this, but i don't know who). Whatever the case - from what I can tell Rudy has done everything he can on every sale to ensure both parties leave happy. Over the years he has changed his sales policies in order to ensure smoother transactions and avoid catastrophic failures.

I've never participated in these flash sales. How do I go about purchasing when it is time? Do you comment in the thread and then he says you can send payment or do you send payment as soon as he says go ahead and refunds those who were too slow?

I would have bought FoB this last Friday, but MetaZoo got my money on their 1st edition pre-order, those pre-orders are already being resold for 2-3X their value on eBay (I don't agree with that, not selling mine). I will definitely try to jump on board the Monarch deal though, looking forward to it.

Great! *Sets The Alarm* ..... WHEN?! I'm one of those fortunate ones who hasn't had my monarch pre-order cancelled (yet) despite getting them much cheaper than the current pre-order asking price. Deep down, I know I'm going to get cancelled some time in April... But I swear, I will open each and every 1st edition box I receive and help deplete the surplus population. I already set my alarm for Monarch. I set it for every night at 8:50 pm for the next 2 months. I wake up in the middle of the night, in night sweats, after a bad dream that I slept through the sale. There is Rudy pointing at me, laughing, and calling me a big Timmy in between bites of his taco...lets hope it is not a prophetic dream.

With everything going on it's becoming increasingly difficult to decide where to invest - standard boosters, set boosters, collector boosters, Masters, Commander, or doubling down on pre-Eldraine era sealed product. FAB Monarch is definitely interesting. There seems to be a real possibility of FAB taking off with some Magic players feeling fed up with the evolution into Universe Beyond (or whatever WOTC is calling it) and more game stores ordering product. We'll see what happens when people are able to start getting together for game nights again.

Or do I have to get up at 2.30 a.m. in the morning again? ;) Still unbelievable where FaB has gone in this short amount of time. I remember buying your first variety kit and nobody was caring about it at all. Now my kit is probably worth around 15k - so crazy.

I hope his words ring true. "That everyone that was a patreon in January will be able to get a kit". Cause missing out on this would break my heart. I took his advice and didn't lock in a single preorder, now I'm feeling a little like I might miss out on 1st Monarch. But Rudy has been awesome for years I have been a 2-3 year long patreon and he is usually very cool about stuff. Though I think it can something's be a little hard to get lol. Pokemon a few weeks back had something like 500 comments in five minutes and only 20 people able to get them lol
