If they wanted to make it matter in a similar way to FaB 1st ed., all they'd have to do is do new print runs with no foil timeshifted cards. Not a bad idea, actually. Get a bunch of this draft set into actual players' hands, but allow the first print run to hold value for collectors / evil investors. I like FaB's model.

It’s the slivers doing this lol. Stores shouldn’t give them this information they will just give the boxes to Amazon. Unless it’s an actual order form. Why can’t wizards just chill I hate corporations. Just allow 1 product to have value. I didn’t go in this set heavy just a couple boxes. But it would be nice to have one of their new products gain in value. This will make me way more hesitant to buy modern horizons 2 like I wasn’t already hesitant enough. So when should we sell all these boxes Rudy? Now? Is there any chance they see that first edition boxes matter like FAB?

Keep in mind a second wave does not necessarily mean a reprint. It could be sitting there already and just be held back. If Rudy is correct on the Amazon angle, you could see that play out.

The speed cycle on TSR is crazy. Looking like some prices are still approaching the bottom, but plenty have bounced back up already. With the less than expected print run news, I think the impact on older versions will be less than expected. Stuff like Cloud Key has only had the original printing but prices are 1/3 of the original; the foil was down to like $6 or 7, but is already back up to $14. All previous Pact of Negation foils are around $50, TSR is $30; again, since this wasn't printed to oblivion, there's not a lot out there and that gap should close. Any of the time shifted non-foils that are any good should be rarer relative to any of the other versions and if it's not around the price of the highest version I would expect it to get there.

Is this a usual occurence for WOTC to send surveys like this? I've personally never heard of this before, but I could be way off. IMHO, like previous comments say, this is just data collection for future Remastered sets and they're feeling out the numbers for how much to print in future similar sets...

I've heard about people getting their preorders cancelled. The payment HAS come out of my credit card, so that's promising, but it hasn't shipped yet. I'm not letting myself get my hopes up. LoL

Man I got a case for 1200 and bought 3 boxes for 280 a piece for myself on sunday. I didnt think that it would go up so fast but I can wait till the second wave to get them back at a lower price but it going back to 200 seems unlikely to me.

You don’t think they are already printed? I don’t think they have time for that with as backed up the printers are, I would imagine those spots are already sold for the next 3 months, and by that time, it would be too late to print TSR again with Kaldheim, Strixhaven, and all the upcoming sets.
