I don’t think either set is meh, plenty of good cards in both. It’s just the obvious combos built into the design are so powerful that it feels like a lack of depth and dominates drafting. And the future of Pathways is still up in the air, if these sets are the last time they’re printed for a while it will definitely have an effect when the short term player base rotates

I sell a lot on Amazon through FBA and you are not wrong about the stock level of CL collector boxes.. Currently they have an inventory level of 3317 boxes. That's a lot of stock. Although their price is $320.93. The Kaldheim Collector Booster Box stock level on Amazon is 4944 @ $199.34, for anyone interested in the numbers.

I keep hearing people talk about reduced supply of collector boxes, starting with Legends. It seems to be all anecdotal though. Just because a distributor or a store got less product does not mean there is less product. The whole time people talked about a shortage of CL collector boxes, Amazon has held thousands of them. They control the supply and they control the price. The same appears to be true with Kaldheim.

Good that’ll help compensate for the dumpster fire card quality in the collectors boxes. Though maybe the idea is that since collectors are less likely to ever open the boxes, quality doesn’t matter.

I wish wizards was a little more transparent. I really like them throttling down on the supply. It’s seems like a lot of us have been burned.

Sadly i don’t feel kaldheim collectors have enough tacos for my belly. Besides a lot of foils there aren’t so many unique cards to have a real huge difference from set boxes, in my opinion

maybe Japanese shipment came in first and was buried by the USA shipment, and the top or newest shipped out first. Rudy would know more than me

i put away a case or two of each, and try to get the early Japanese printing on the draft and set boxes, i case that means something in the future. Thanks Rudy

I bought early from rudy hoping his would be the case and the supply would be low. Wizards had to change something because the single in the secondary market were far to cheap. They are going to have to make more changes going forward too. If this is the "new" direction it's probably the first of a few moves to reinflate the secondary market.

NO reason not to buy the cheap one's on eBay sub $190 with this potential situation. EZ pick-up, I grabbed a case worth @ $178.

People always say I’ll wait a little bit - I get a case at launch since so it’s absolutely prestine and not being tossed around an LGS floor for months - also sometimes like Kaldheim draft boxes were Japanese printed and the stop tape is Japanese - will future draft be cases be the same? Says who? This information means many of us will be buying this up at the low $178 - $185 price (free shipping) we can get it for now. I wouldn't be surprised as this information circulates these are $200 - $210 by the weekend - with no re-stock that triggers a $289 by Christmas. LGS's will be back by end of year and then we will see re-established demand.

Thanks Rudy! That's the way it should be IMO. Collectors at a premium should warranty some rarity and scarcity. If true, I commend Wizards on this action.

They should do this with all sets...Fox Racing does this and they sell out every piece of gear and clothing they have because people buy it all up asap to get something then sit around waiting for the next release of items to snatch up lol its quite genius

I was already on the fence about buying one, and this just pushed me over the edge. $195 on Amazon... for the time being.
