Yea. Basically he said it'd be reprinted for the lifespan of the product. What remains to be determined is, is that lifespan going to be extended due to their backlog/delay. If not, this may be a limited time product like Mystery Booster.

Janis, Based on the opening videos I've seen, you're all but guaranteed to get several of the high-value cards, often multiples of the same high-value cards. There is *some* randomization (a given pack could have one out of two different cards in the rare slot), but not nearly enough. And when you can be guaranteed those cards, they kinda lose their rarity. It sounds like a lot of fun to play, and it's good for onboarding, but I don't think the financial value will hold.

Rodrigo, I'm not surprised. A lot of LGS are in a situation where selling a $90 booster box that they could sell for $200 has a pretty big impact on their profit margin. Granted, those stores risk losing customers when they don't deliver on their promises (and someone with a canceled pre-order is much less likely to pre-order again), but a lot of stores are willing to take that gamble.

Mystery Boosters were also supposed to be a year-long product too, but then things happened. I'm not holding my breath on WotC having plentiful supply given that they're like, 4 apologies deep now on being behind on restocking product.

In fact this is the same history as Commander2020 i see a page selling it for 90 on a facebook group and I didn't want to buy, today in same group people start to saying that the store start cancelling orders an refunding money blaming the allocation and supply

You have a good LGS. Make sure you patronize them as much as possible...We cant have the good shops fold for doing good business!

I'm also leery of investing in Jumpstart, the frequencies with which the packs come up is something I'd want to have a much better idea of before investing. I suspect it will be fun to play a few times though.

If you didn't buy this early, these current prices are triple Timmy status. These prices will fall and fall hard and fast

Am I the only one who's SUPER-leery about Jumpstart? I feel like it's going to fall to pieces in price. I feel like the high-value cards are going to drop in price once people realize you can be almost guaranteed of pulling several big hitters in a box, and the value of the sealed product will plummet as a result. Am I mistaken here, and/or ill-advised in avoiding investing in this particular product?

Can't believe the price of these. I preordered 2 cases way back in April for $72.45 a box. If I get them at release, I'm definitely flipping a case!

Our lgs has them for 115 a box. Which isn't that bad considering the market price is ridiculously high.

I have a so-so LGS that under ordered... And can't get any more. I was the first to inquire and pre order online 2 boxes and he found out only had 2 BOXES coming not cases... He gave me one preorder for 85 bucks... And told me he'd call if he could get more...

I just want you to know, it's awesome that you keep trying to offer these products to us all. If people are pissed their LGS won't sell them boxes for under $200 a piece, that's on them and their store. Thankfully, I have a fantastic LGS that I'm getting a case for $400, and they are always looking out. You're awesome for putting yourself out there to deal with all the whining that's inevitably going to come from these products.

I'm not a hardcore MTG player so jumpstart is a perfect product for me in terms of opening and playing. Hoping to create a battle box/game night box out of these decks. Looking forward to this set but will wait once the print run issue is fixed and prices drop. My LGS is honoring the $120 pre-sale price so I think I will start there so I can get 1 box to start with and buy more once the printing is straightened out.

I paid $588 on eBay for 5 boxes last week ($118 each) preordered from a shop in Canada. Shipping was extra $35. Came out to just under $125 each box. Good deal, if it doesn't get cancelled.

i grabbed 3 for $78 each after Rudy initially posted there was rumors of big reprints... id love another box if the price was right

Hey Rudy, you said in a video that you wouldn't recommend that anyone pay over 110 a box for them; I feel like a lot of the higher prices right now are just cashing in on the FOMO. With this being a set that's meant for causal play I seriously can't imagine wizards cutting it off with such a low supply. My guessing is that your recommendation would be for most of us to just wait until you are able to get additional product to be able to buy it at a more proper price? And for this sale to be for people who really don't want to miss out, or just want it early and don't mind paying the premium?

I would not buy this product for more than 100-105 a box, which sounds like only 55-65% of what Rudy may charge. Good luck to everyone who will be trying to get a box tonight.

I ordered 6 for around 90ish each from eBay awhile ago. I’ll be surprised if the seller comes through, after hearing that it’s a pretty low print run. I do hope that it gets a really large second print run. It seems like a fun product to play and to hang on to for the long term

These are new products I wish there was just one place that I could pay a monthly fee and just pay a standard percentage price over cost every time on every new product. Just so everyone makes money and I could supplement the cost to someone for having to get a business license and storage/shipping. I think I would feel that would be fair for all parties. But I am a consumer that has the free will to say yes or no to any product so any decision is on me and no one else’s fault or gain.

WotC puts in a few high-profile EDH reprints like Craterhoof and Exquisite Blood, the demand goes up as the supply goes down, and then you get stupid box prices like this on the open market. Seems wise to wait for the market to stabilize, then buy to just have fun with it as intended, or just pick up a few singles that are now a little easier to get. Godspeed, Rudy!

I think its risky Rudy. Second wave will flood the market and drop prices to upper 80 lower 90. Im not sure where distributor pricing is atm but the first wave was sold slightly under the above mentioned prices. Patrons will line up ti kick you in the old cinnamon twist.

I don't subscribe to FOMO. If i miss out I miss out. I get my stables, the extras i'll pick up once the dust settles and the price is still reasonable. I don't like the idea of buying something at 150 today that could sell for 100 or 200 a month from now.

My LGS offered Jumpstart booster box for $99.99. They cancelled everyone's pre-order and relisted them for $149.99. Their facebook page is getting destroyed.

This definitely feels like it is being driven by the supply. This feels risky for anyone buying it for more than ~$100/box. If Wizards does a huge reprint and keeps this in stock like Modern Horizons, this will drop to $85/box and people will get hosed. If they instead choose to move on and not print more, it will hold $150+. I would wait this out until Wizards makes clear what they plan to do.

I honestly wanted to stay away from this from the get go. I had my sights set on double masters. Ordered a case and a half of that so I didn't really have any budget left for jumpstart. Good luck to all those that do! :)

I thought these were originally supposed to be standard booster box prices all around. I get that supply is boosting the cost by a lot, but damn. Wizards communication is causing more issues. I want to get these but even $150 a box is crazy let alone $200. Like Rudy said.. its a lose/lose. If I get them now and they drop I am going to feel terrible, but if I wait and there's no more.. It's going to make me hate wizards even more. Remember though. Anyone getting mad, don't be mad at Rudy it's not his fault. That being said. I'd vote wait on the sale. I can just see all the Timmys raging at Rudy over something he can't control and are all going to feel scammed if a major restock hits. I feel it has to.. since this product was pretty much unavailable before it hit street date almost everywhere. Even masters sets aren't that bad.. So basing it on that.. there has to be a crapton of this stuff coming.

WPNs were given the notice early on that supplies are going to be short for awhile, and now many of them were caught with their pants down with overselling preorders. This is supposed to be a new player fun product with print to demand. I just think it someone was asleep at the wheel to think about releasing another mass print product literally right after a new Core set.

I am sure I am in the minority or all alone, but my thoughts are if you feel like the price is inflated and you have limited supply just crack them and sell the packs in bundles for whatever you think is fair. The world is pretty crappy out right now so tossing a few packs together and getting a game in might be a bright spot and everyone can pick up sealed from you in the future if/when there is a reprint.

I didn't get in on this one. Had a bad feel to it. I think it will likely have a few valuable cards but from what I've seen, it's mostly just bulk filler cards. Kinda like the starter decks.

Yeah Rudy, I'm with the others, and I've asked about this product a month ago. I don't buy standard boxes from you, I have an LGS for that, but none of tjem are getting it. I'd rather wait for the product to get over the Corona hurdle and we buy the product when you have enough to sell to us, at not a stupid price.

If you gotta cancel just cancel it Rudy. I’m already grateful for your cheap standard boxes. These are just icing on top and honestly you’ll just end up having people upset because limited supply if you sell at a good price or people complaining it’s too high and those who won’t be awake that missed it altogether. What a rough year it’s been I hope everyone is hanging in there :)

Yea it sucks ass. Same scenario with mystery booster and supply still isn’t changing. Would be nice if there is a big reprint at the end of the year but knowing us, we’ll be focused on double masters

Sell for whatever you want - if they sell they sell, if they don't they don't. I'm quite interested, but I'm not paying stupid prices for them. But you'd almost be stupid not to sell them high, or else someone is just going to snipe them all and resell. Conversely, if you want to be The Cool Rudy - sell at a reasonable price but limit 1 box per patron. Whatever. As long as main product (core + normal expansions) prices remain reasonable, that's all we can realistically ask of you.

Will you sell them by the single box or will it be a 2 box order?
