As for MH1, products are not normally restocked at retail big box stores since they are limited to shelf space and wizards replaces with the newest item every 60 days :-)

I cannot believe how much people brush aside your actual market and financial knowledge (as someone who works in finance myself) and how much tranparent your videos are especially when you go back to compare and contrast with older ones such as pre-release vs post release of an expansion. Keep up the great work. Topic related, do you have any insight into why I'm seeing MH1 not getting restocked at big boxes but AM seeing restock at Barnes and Noble and Walgreens? Is WoTC/Hasbro prioritizing the direct sales on final inventory over 3rd party stockers like Target uses and LGS?

I'm bummed about the whole throne situation, and not being able to get regular throne boxes till the new set comes out is really sad. But I do understand its not something you have any control over. The situation just sucks. Is there still no word on why this happened or if it will happen again?

Can we still order throne this month and just wait for delivery until you get them? I'm in no hurry for delivery, and I want them for this tax year if possible. I know you're busy, so thank you if you're able to answer this before the end of the month.

It was hard for me to read the comments that were attacking Rudy over the events that took place this December. First I would like to remind people that this is a Patreon account that is meant to show support to one of the most dedicated content creators in magic. Second addressing the throne boxes that was an issue with the distributors which Rudy made quite clear. And those very boxes will be available for many months to come. I for one am very happy to have Rudy's many insights when it comes to investing in Magic product sealed and single cards. Rudy I hope you enjoy your holidays your an absolute legend and a true gentleman.

Yeah Rudy, i have to agree with the others here. I would not let a few people with pitchforks bother you. You would not have so many patrons if your content sucked. You have on of the best mtg shows on youtube finance or not.

The problem is with entitlement. Rudy is delivering everything he has promised. Patreon memberships do not entitle a patron to be able to tell Rudy what he should do with his time. Its patreon, not commissieon. At the very worst, Rudy makes videos, Rudy offers sealed magic product, end of "deal/service". At the very best, you support Rudy with your money and he does whatever the F he wants with it. If you like it, good, great! If you dont like it, you dont have to support.

Rudy just a note of encouragement and feedback from one of your $20 patrons (i'd be a $100 patron if i had that level of disposable investment income), i appreciate your honest take on the market and where you think things are going with Magic and how quickly things can change. At no time during my patronage have i felt taken advantage of or in any way undeserved, quite the contrary. I've always taken your core advice about sealed magic product..."It's a mutual fund...". I completely agree. I'm not trying to time the market, for me my love of magic and turning to an investor means that i pursue a long term (very) buy and hold approach. I lament the day when you retire from public YouTube work because i doubt you will ever stop your investing in Magic. But hang in there, your work and the access to Magic product is greatly appreciated. Having met the 'Creepy One' at the Vegas Grand Prix last year and traded DM's never will most of us meet someone who is so anxious to encourage people to save their money and not invest or buy from him unless they are absolutely sure that they have the income and ability to buy and hold. For those who may have left in some kind of 'huff' they will be back and if not then i encourage everyone to more reason and less emotion. Rudy, carry on lad and Merry Christmas to you and yours. Just recently became a patreon, but have watched your content on u-tube for a while . I really like how you give your honest opinion on things. You do not sugar coat it, you just give the facts as you see them. The 1% haters need to realize this is an opinion of how you see things. It may be right it may be wrong who knows, only time will tell. I hope this doesn't stop you from making videos on some subjects. I enjoy all of them from the white board , vintage report, box opening's, and so on. Keep your head held high Rudy. 99% like your content, and your discount MTG offers. I don't think it is your honesty that someone took issue with but rather that in all your honesty you had nothing constructive to say. Yes, Rudy has been doing a lot of box openings, you and others may not have fun with them like before, but I and assumably others still do. From my perspective, Rudy's box opening videos are second to none. His emotion and excitement are by far unparallelled and it's refreshing to be able to have fun with your chosen content creator while he or she is having a genuine good time making the content. Yeah he says corny stuff but in light of all that what I enjoy the most about Rudy is that he is one hell of a story teller. I love listening to his stories about the game that all of us enjoy during the box openings. Great stuff. "Ebay is cheaper" okay, go buy from Ebay. Do you think you are the only patron who buys sealed product off ebay or compares prices with what Rudy is offering? My understanding of the monthly items Rudy offers is that that they are a thank you to his patrons for supporting his channel. We can choose to take him up on it, or we can choose to buy from Ebay, or our LGS, or not at all. It's all the same to him in the end. Besides, I think if Rudy knew I could get what he was offering cheaper on Ebay and even cheaper still with a 10% off coupon he would be the first to tell me to go for it (provided the price wasn't 30 dollars from seller with negative reviews from some people who never received the box!). "I still pay my dues every month. If that somehow doesn't entitle me to speak my mind, we have a problem." You were not banned and your comments were not removed, so why do you feel you cannot speak your mind? It looks like Randy didn't like what you had to say but he was just using the speech entitled to him by his dues to tell you his honest thoughts. Yet, Randay was in the wrong for addressing you as boohooz24 you didn't deserve that, that was mean.

Oh you are entitled.  The problem is the negative disrespectful attitude.  If you are not happy, why pay at all?  If paying makes you think you can be a jerk, it is probably better to go troll somewhere else.   It is ok to disagree and have your own thoughts.  I do not agree with everything Rudy says, or the prices on all his product.  I also feel it is ok to discuss that.  Rudy has done the best thing he can do, be honest.  If I ever felt that he wasn't honest, or is trying to take advantage of me, I would just go away.   I, for example, would love as much non-box opening content that I can get.  It would be nice if there is a problem with public content, that Rudy makes it Patreon Private videos only.  The box openings are good too! Sometimes he says things that fill in the context of the overall MTG world.  Related to the box opening, sometimes not.   In the end, it is his channel and I respect that he has the right to create the content he wants to make.  It is hard to be a public figure these days because the vocal minority can really tear you  apart.  I will never want someone to do something that they don't want to do for my gain or entertainment.

Rudy is an investor. He has real life experiences in the field. I subscribe to get his take on the MtG investing world. Per his own admission, he will be posting less videos regarding this exact subject due to some people being bitchy because Rudy didn’t turn them into millionaires overnight. I’m a Rudy fan, don’t get me wrong. But I’m also honest. The TOE was not a good sale. EBay is cheaper (especially with 10% coupons). C19 was not a good sale. Again, eBay was cheaper. I still find him entertaining. I still pay my dues every month. If that somehow doesn’t entitle me to speak my mind, we have a problem.

Well those are people that are here to get cheaper boxes, and not to support your content. So those people can quit and more will come with that mentality. Hope you keep gaining more patrons! For what its worth, I finally sign-up ( USD 15 option only) but been following for a while and from all the MTG YouTubers I feel you are the most impactful. Heck - even my son enjoys your box openings but could not be bothered with Standard for the last couple of months. Busy hunting for modern stables and such but from where I live can be a grueling experience. Thankfully, is the single market is not to restrictive to international customers and I have a US address in case of emergency. Keep up the excellent content creation.

I too run my own small-business that every once in a while gets completely messed up do to uncontrollable outside sources (Facebook API changes/outages usually). The best thing you can do is try to embrace some stoicism. Focus on being the best hairy-armed Rudy you can be, regardless of the 'cards' being dealt.

I'm sorry for the churn you recently experienced. I'm here because I chose to support your videos, and not necessarily to buy product. The ones who left salty because of the market weren't here for the right reasons, IMHO. You keep on being you, and the cool Timmies will still be here!

Your videos are one of the only things I watch on youtube anymore aside from background music while I work. I've come a long way in the past three years since I first started watching your videos, much of the progress due to following your advice. Three years ago I didn't even have my own bank account. Now I have 12 credit cards, never missed a payment, and I'm looking to put a down payment on a rental house sometime within the next year. My interests primarily lie in your finance and reserved list videos. I'm not big into modern magic, even if it is sealed, and it's kind of rare that I buy new products, but I've been very active in purchasing and collecting 9394 stuff until the start of this year. Now that prices have been dropping, I'm watching the market closely again. I would be pretty disappointed if you stopped making videos on that topic for a whole year. Either way, I'm a long time viewer and that isn't going to change. I've gotten an incredible amount of good advice from your videos and I always recommend you to my friends, even ones who have no interest in magic.

Definitely not an easy business to run, you're one of the few creators who actually offers something of value for the patrons and creating quality content. I don't know if you have an editor for the YT videos but that might be something to look into for growing the channel more. Love some of the crazy videos you do like touring a rental, emergency preparedness for hurricanes (that takes me back a few years) and the stories from your days as a broker.
