YouTube / Adsense Hacked

I look forward to your videos every day and this is what keeps me interested in Magic, yet I never really play. I bought a few Eternal Masters boxes over the weekend on the high of your videos ($175 shipped). I finally got them today and it only made me very depressed. There are still so many other videos you've talked about I want to see. Especially, the general financial advise video.

You will not be starting from zero though. You have a loyal fanbase that will be following you heavily until you get a new channel. I am sure other youtube streamers will then direct people to your channel when it is up. You would do the same for them. I really would encourage you to continue with the videos though. They are really special. A rare sort of comedy that is not seen very often. It is well beyond the crazy guy selling people cheap boosters now.

I just want to say that your videos have given me a lot of encouragement and have helped me a lot in a very emotionally difficult time. I think I speak for everyone when I say I really appreciate the work you've put into this channel and you really don't deserve this. Whatever happens, we'll be here and we'll support you. Please don't give up.

That's a pretty terrifying situation considering Adsense is linked to your social security number, here's hoping everything turns out alright for you.

Glad to hear it Rudy. Sometimes it does not matter what you do or have in place to protect you. Hackers tend to be pretty good when it comes to stuff like that.

I appreciate all the comments and support, i am just waiting for YouTube/Adsense to actually do something, Worst case scenario, i have to delete the entire channel and start a new channel with 0 subscribers. I have most videos backed up. This hack was very well done. They even sent me a fake text authentication code. I should have an update in the next 72 hours. Either way patreon is unaffected.

Your Adsense account should still have the same publisher ID as before even if names or passwords changed. You should also use 2 factor authorization and different passwords for all accounts. Your security questions should be hard to guess so no one can reset it by hacking the associated email. Also your email account associated with Adsense should not be given out to the public.

Wow man, this is terrible. I'm sure you're not the only one to have this happen. Youtube's response is ridiculous. Literally any other company out there helps you regain access to your own account, especially ones that involve money. I've thought this for the last few years... youtube sucks more and more as the months tick away. Ads every five minutes, pushing their paid subscription just as often, and they don't give a shit about their content creators. Very sad.

Hey Rudy I left a comment on one of Boogie2988's videos asking for his help seeing as his account was hacked and youtube took leaps to help him, I know it isnt much but I hope he contacts you( left your twitter as contact info) and can get the people in youtube he knows personally to look at your situation.

Let's hope it doesn't have to come to shutting the channel down. I know I'll be with you all the way.

Also, this might be another option for you to get in contact with someone at google. I wouldn't put much hope into it, but filing a complaint with the BBB and clicking the option that you would like a response from the business will usually receive a human response. Also if you want to email me, and create a FB account, I can add you to some secret groups that are run by FB employees. I know it's not a FB issue, but I would imagine that someone there knows someone that knows someone that works at google...

There are usually people there, like the FBI and CIA that have officers. There is also a position called the RSO (Regional Security Officer) that is responsible for Force Protection and other Law enforcement related matters.

Yo Rudy that sucks I suggest u reach out to the other MTG channels like MTG lion etc. So they can tell their people also their are a lot of confused non-patreon subs.

Getting support for issues involving *both* YouTube and any Google services is near impossible. They've almost become separate entities, and their support systems do not like to overlap. Wishing you luck getting this resolved, my man!
