Looking to start off the year with something fun and familiar! And what could be more fun or familiar than the happy face of Teena :D
Simple, at least so far; I think I need to continue to remind myself to keep things simple where I can. Yeah it's fun to do big complicated scenes with lots of details, but that's also far too easy to overdo, and complexity doesn't make a picture good. It just makes it complex. (which can sometimes be good, but still.)
I'm still sorta kinda 'recovering' as I head into the new year - there's a lot of stuff to sort out, a lot of changes big and small to how I'm approaching my work and life - but off to a good start so far, I feel. And hopefully this will be a great starting point for a good year, one where I can get back into the flow of just doing the art I find fun, and actually having fun while doing it.
I miss the days when I'd be pumping out something every week or so, just because I was excited to make something new! Too much overthinking slowed me down, along with life itself slowing down. But at least the former is something I can try to work on.
So yes, what better way to get into that then with Teena, and with Penny, just doing what they enjoy doing; trying to eat you~
