Welcome to the first LAYERS session!

I am happy you bumped into my PATREON project! My name is Neil Curtis, and I am a bodypainter from Vienna, Austria. You may know my work from Instagram, Facebook or Twitter/X and as you know, my bodypaintings are very different from what other artists make.
My aim is to see the body as the body and use the color not to draw a picture, but to cover and overpaint the body itself. The body becomes an object, a living piece of art. I used this idea in my REPLACE CLOTHES WITH PAINT performance series (see www.neilcurtis.com) and it's also the basis for my new project: LAYERS.
The idea is simple: How often can I cover someone from head to toe in paint and add another LAYER ontop of it. How many LAYERS can we do on a model? And the first session that I released under this project was with model HEIRIKU. And it started with red paint (my favourite color).
And to give you a glimps of what you can expect, I decided to make the first LAYER of the session with Heiriku public and free. The session continued in a lot more layers and ended a few weeks ago. After the session was over, the NEW session with the athletic model Mario started! It's a very messy session with many, many layers!
