Pre-supported STLs
Added 2019-11-15 21:36:02 +0000 UTCOk guys so I'm testing something out and if you're feeling brave then this might be something for you.
I've been toying with the idea of pre-supported STLs for a little while but have been a bit too preoccupied with sculpting and the day job to get much done about it.
If you follow the November Content Link you'll find an additional folder within the Monthly Model folder. It will be named EXPERIMENTAL Presupported. Within is a Zip file containing pre-supported and pre-hollowed STLs for Sarysa. These are the files I used to successfully print this model.
THE STLs DO NOT HAVE VENT HOLES
You will have to add the vent holes yourselves - the reason for this is that Formware handles drainage holes different to software like Chitu and others. It uses a non-destructive method of adding the holes with markers that are then factored into the actual slice of the print so it doesn't actually modify the geometry just in case you change your mind or need to tweak things. This is an awesome feature but it does mean that the drainage holes don't get exported with the geometry. So if you give these files a try ADD DRAINAGE HOLES before printing.
Please note: I cannot guarantee these will work for you. I just know that I had success with these using my Phrozen Shuffle and Ameralabs AMD3 resin. Your results may vary, so please leave feedback with your results - if it works out for enough people then I'll release pre-supported STLs in the future (although they will likely arrive a few weeks after the usual files as I'll need to print and test it myself).
