February 2025 update

Hello, everyone!

I wanted to apologize for the lack of updates last month, but it really was hard to find the time and energy to write...

...Or at least, that was the excuse I would keep telling myself. But really, the main issue here was that I wasn't using the time and energy that I did have very wisely.

Ironically, the activities that were supposed to be me relaxing after work - playing video games and watching YouTube - were just draining the last bits of my energy, leaving me with no more juice for writing. And it's kinda weird that having a job made me finally realize that.

Of course, the solution is simple, just put as many blockades between me and these distractions as possible, and instead make it extremely easy for me to open my writing doc and start writing instead.

I started doing that a few days ago, and so far, I've managed 1k words everyday, despite having work on those days, but we'll see whether it will lead to burnout or not.

And yes, this means more chapters are coming soon. One tomorrow, and more hopefully soon after that.

Anyway! For some reason, despite me not writing as much this past month, the number of paying patrons actually grew! What? Why? How? Thank you, regardless! It motivates me to ignore my usual distractions and really focus on writing that much more!

On the note of my actual writing projects:

I had a strange flash of inspiration for Weaver the other day and even though I'd said in last monthly update that I might take a break after finishing part 2... I might also not. We'll have to see! Definitely helps that I have a fully completed outline for this behemoth of a story.

Another project I keep going back to is Hopping Celestial Fox (or Portals of the Celestial Fox, as the E-book is called). I wanted to, at the very least, finish the current story arc, since that's been sitting on a cliffhanger for almost a year now. I haven't quite outlined the story beyond that, but I do have some solid ideas on where it's going to go, so we'll have to see.

The last "active" project I have is the interactive story that I'm only posting on ScribbleHub - Self-insert Vs. The readers. It's a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine and it's incredibly easy to just open the doc and then keep writing and writing... But strangely enough, it's also very useful for writing my other projects, since whenever I feel burnt out or have difficulty putting words on the page, I can just switch to this and jumpstart my creative juices with it.

Besides those three, there have obviously been many many plot bunnies constantly barging into my house and demanding to be written, including but not limited to:

- "Felice Hybrid": rewrite
- "Memories of Crystal Tide": A unique take on an amnesia story (wherein a 'boy' who is a magical girl gets stuck in her magical girl form with amnesia, and can't quite believe that she's actually a boy even though everyone keeps telling her this)
- "Soulsplit Chronicles": A story where the MC wants a girl's body and so they get one... in addition to their old AMAB body
- "Guilt-ridden crown": An evil demon lord gets reverse-isekai'd to Earth as a human girl and learns humility and compassion before being re-isekai'd and trying to atone
- "The redemption snark": A strange power interaction sends two superheroes and one supervillain into another world full of hostile monsters and now they have to work together to get back
- "Transcendent Cooldown": MC is reincarnated as their MMORPG character... but on Earth instead of the game world! (I have actually posted the pilot chapters here a looong time ago. Made it public now so you can go read it if you wanna)

Will I actually start writing any of these? I have no idea. Probably not, since I already have too much going on, but do let me know if any of them catch your interest!
