OP Sister Chapter 532: Evolution
Added 2025-09-30 17:46:49 +0000 UTC-----
“We’re going to space,” I declared.
“…?!” Sepa stared at me with bewilderment.
“Wait, to space?” Bastet asked.
A golden cat and a golden centipede perched on each of my shoulders.
“Yes, to space.”
“…?”
Both exchanged confused glances as I ascended higher, piercing the ozone layer.
I enveloped my body with my strongest Aura, enabling me to fly freely in the oxygen-scarce skies.
Through the circulation of Ki around my body, I was able to replace the necessity for oxygen for at most, a day or two.
The cold was intense, yet I endured it effortlessly.
Honestly, the sight was majestic.
“Earth… our mother.”
I gazed at my planet with a warm smile, filled with awe at her vastness.
Yet, compared to the countless worlds in the multiverse, she was merely a speck of dust.
But she was our speck of dust, our humble home.
Our beautiful mother.
She had endured so much.
But no more.
“I won’t abandon you, never. And I won’t let anyone devour you either…”
The small seed in my hand glowed briefly, absorbing direct sunlight unfiltered by the planet’s atmosphere.
I absorbed it directly as well.
A radioactive energy that could burn skin and kill in minutes.
But my Immortal Physique absorbed it easily.
Exactly what I needed.
[You have gathered and assimilated the Essence of a True Star.]
[Gather the Essence of a True Star]: [1/1,000]
After ten minutes, it had only increased by 1…
I’d need to visit space for a while to reach 1,000.
If I gained 1 essence every 10 minutes…
That’s 10,000 minutes, right?
Around 167 hours.
“A whole week.”
To gather 1,000 essence, I’d have to remain here, unmoving, for an entire week.
With my brother worrying, that’s impossible.
He’d probably come up here and drag me back down.
Could I even tell him I just wanted to absorb the sun’s essence to grow stronger?
No way he’d be happy about this, even if I explained the reason…
“I see, you’re trying to gather star essence to elevate your physique,” Bastet said. “But Anna, why didn’t you ask me first? I can help.”
“Huh? You can?” I asked.
“Naturally, as the Goddess of the Sun,” Bastet replied. “As the inheritor of my father’s divinity and his mirror… I can help you gather the star’s essence much faster.”
“But the mirror… you lost it, right?” I asked.
“I lost it, but I still possess the Divine Artifact’s Spirit,” she explained. “When Artifacts reach such high realms and bond with a Cosmic Soul, they develop their own Spirits, which enhance the artifact further. My father intended to pass it to me, granting me a fragment of the spirit, one half of which I was to assimilate over time. I did, but when tragedy struck… my father was slain, and the mirror was stolen.”
“Hm,” I nodded. “I’m sorry…”
“It’s fine,” Bastet said. “Let me help you. With Ra’s Sun Mirror, or at least its Spiritual Form, I can amplify the UV rays’ intensity a hundredfold.”
“Do it,” I said.
“It might hurt a lot, you know?” Sepa cautioned.
“I don’t care. I can’t waste a week floating in space,” I sighed. “I’m ready.”
“Very well.”
Bastet summoned her mirror, positioning it before me.
The sun’s UV rays pierced the mirror and intensified, taking on a red hue.
They burned my skin.
I was being charred alive.
The pain was… agonizing.
Yet, somehow, I didn’t scream. I simply endured my pain.
“I guess this is what nearly mastering the Seven Demonic Cursed Seals does to my mind.”
I can handle intense emotions much better now.
And pain, the seventh seal, I feel as strongly as ever.
But it doesn’t cripple my mind.
So, while the pain remains, I endure it and carry on.
“This pain is excruciating, but it helps tremendously!”
I shed my skin like a lizard as the sun’s intensity burned me.
Hours passed, and after twelve hours…
[You have gathered and assimilated the Essence of a True Star.]
[Gather the Essence of a True Star]: [1,000/1,000]
“It’s done! Stop it, Bastet!” I exclaimed.
Sepa urged Bastet to stop.
She slowly withdrew the mirror, revealing my body, covered in countless burnt scars that gradually peeled away.
My regeneration powers restored my body, my skin now pristine, radiating the accumulated essence.
“It’s done!”
As I celebrated, I retrieved the star crystal, crushed its dust, and inhaled it.
While floating in the cosmos…
[Congratulations! You have fulfilled all Special Conditions to Further Evolve your Immortal Physique.]
[Special Conditions]:
[Gather the Essence of a True Star]: [1,000/1,000]
[Astral Dust Powder]: [3/3]
[Your Immortal Physique has begun evolving.]
FLAAASH!
My body underwent another physical evolution.
My skin glowed with pristine starlight.
My hair grew longer and golden.
My eyes turned blue, like distant stars.
Constellation-like tattoos appeared across my skin.
[Your [Immortal Physique]: [Myriad Rainbow Star Firmament Physique (Tier 5: Rank 10)] has Evolved!]
The energy and essence my body had accumulated compressed slowly.
Every fiber of my muscles, every bone, every drop of blood, and every organ overflowed with this energy.
[You have developed [Immortal Physique]: [Divine Auroral Constellation Physique (Tier 6: Rank 1)]]
[You have developed the Physique Ability: {Auroral Constellation Body Radiance}!]
[You can now project the true Radiance of a Constellation Body to weaken foes and enhance your attacks.]
[You gained +5,000 Physical Stats.]
[You gained +2,500 Magical Stats.]
[You gained +5,000 Ki Stat.]
[You gained +2,500 Soul Stat.]
“It’s finally done… Let’s return home for now. It’s been twelve hours.”
I descended like a meteor, feeling lighter and more radiant than ever.
Leaving a trail of gold and blue starlight, I reached my house, where my brother was searching for me in my room.
“Anna! Where were you?” he demanded. “Huh? You seem different…”
Though my body remained small, I had changed slightly. My eyes glowed, and my hair, now almost entirely blonde, had grown longer.
“I… uh, dyed my hair.”
“No, you didn’t.”
“Okay, okay, I went to space to absorb sunlight directly and evolve my body through a skill.”
“What?! Don’t you know how dangerous that is?”
“There was nothing in space.”
“Nothing? Haven’t you seen the news? It was reported the moon has a dungeon, and footage showed monsters roaming it… What if you encountered space monsters?”
“Jack, there was nothing up there. Relax.”
Though Cosmic Beasts appear later, that won’t happen until the end of the Second Awakening, when the Milky Way is swallowed by the Spacetime of the Greater Beyond.
From there, everything will change.
And the Dungeon on the Moon? Maybe I should visit it later before anyone else does.
“…Ugh, I need a coffee.”
Jack walked away, groaning. He seemed to have a strong hangover from last night but didn’t pursue the topic, likely relieved I returned alive.
“Well, looks like you got out of trouble pretty easily this time,” Sepa commented.
“Giving your brother that Murim wine was a good idea in the end, fufu,” Bastet giggled.
“Yeeaah…” I nodded. “Hm, now this…”
I reviewed a quest that had been awaiting my attention for some time.
[Congratulations! You have Completed the [Special Constellation Quest]: {Slay the Great Fire Dragon and Destroy the Dragon Gate}]
[Difficulty]: [SSS]
[Time Limit]: [7 Days]
[Conditions]: [Slay the Great Fire Dragon, Vulcanus: 1/1] [Destroy the Dragon Gate: 1/1]
[The {Divine Forger of Olympus} is very pleased with your work and has chosen you as his protégé. Constellations from Olympus will now find it difficult to target you. He has also prepared several rewards for you.]
[Rewards]: [+50,000 Plot Points] [Divine Blacksmith Soul Ember (A Rank Privilege)] [Hephaestus’ Old Rusty Hammer (??? Rank)]
Okay, so some Plot Points, a new Privilege, and… his old hammer? Seriously? I thought I’d get something more, but… wait, isn’t that valuable? If I can upgrade and polish it, the essence of Hephaestus within might awaken, making it an extraordinary item.
Not bad…
But what is this new Privilege?
Upon activating it, I felt a small flame ignite in my chest, spreading a divine warmth throughout my body, though it remained faint.
As I held the hammer, the flames coursed through it, amplifying its potency.
“I see…”
An Ember was the initial stage of a Blacksmith’s Divine Flame, their internal divine fire that aids in processing powerful materials and crafting exceptional items.
With this, I can further hone my blacksmithing talents.
“Alright, let’s have breakfast. I’ll cook something delicious to keep him from getting grumpy. Time to spoil my brother for a change.”
I hurried to the kitchen and prepared bacon waffles, eggs, and my brother’s coffee.
Henrietta was sleeping in his room at the time. My brother wanted her and Kevin to live with us, but Henrietta felt that abandoning her home and the guild’s headquarters would be too much.
So they were still figuring out what to do and moving to another guild’s building wouldn’t be right either.
For now, it’s fine, but once their child is born, they’ll need to live together to raise the baby.
“There you go, your coffee and waffles.”
“Hm… Thank you, Anna.”
My brother looked exhausted, sipping his coffee with a weary expression.
As I sat beside him to eat, I heard footsteps. Baihe emerged from her room, yawning.
“Good morning…” she said.
“Mornin’! Come eat,” I replied.
She sat down, and I served her breakfast as well.
“Hm, this is nice… waffles with bacon? I never imagined this combination would work. I always thought waffles were for sweet stuff,” she said, munching eagerly. “God, I was hungry…”
“Nah, they go with everything,” I smiled. “Annabelle’s not here, right?”
“No, she went with Scarlet,” Baihe said. “Scarlet’s her legal guardian now, so she has to live with her a couple of days a week. Not like she minds.”
“Kevin’s sleeping in the other room, right?” I asked.
“Yes, he is…” Henrietta stepped out of my brother’s room, sporting a bedhead. “Ahh… I’m still sleepy. I feel like I have a hangover, even though I didn’t drink a drop of alcohol.”
“Ah! Good morning, love. Come, sit here,” Jack said gently, helping her to a seat.
Henrietta was in the early stages of pregnancy.
Her belly wasn’t noticeable yet.
The fetus was likely very small.
Yet my brother remained overprotective and attentive, now with Henrietta too.
“Heheh, Jack, I’m not in the late stages of pregnancy. You don’t have to worry so much.”
“I’ll always worry…”
Jack kissed her, and Henrietta returned a deeper kiss.
They looked so adorable!
I’m thrilled to see my brother like this.
Yet…
Sometimes I recall Jack from the “original timeline.”
The {Seamless Abyss}.
I wonder how he’s doing… He hasn’t watched over me for a few days.
Where is he now?
What is he doing?
For a being of unfathomable power like him, I probably shouldn’t worry, but still…
To think he crossed dimensions and… even time, to see me again.

It would be interesting if Anna helped her world advanced in its science and technology fields. Since she knows that there are advanced civilizations of science and technology thanks to her meeting Zero-One and the Machine Race. Anna's Earth civilization could start to colonize the moon and mars, possibly other planets too. Larger a civilization is the harder it is to absorb it.
