Lady Nameless fixed her cold gaze on my eyes, her Aura piercing into my very being, even my soul. 

I felt weakened, much like when the Void Ruler had stared into my essence. 

Sweat beaded on my skin, my strength waning. 

Yet, I cloaked myself in my Flames of Hope and Love, pink and golden fire wrapping around my body. 

The pressure was immense, but I endured, as did my mother. 

“Please, just this once… believe in them!” 

“And if I say no? What will you do?” 

“Then…” 

I unsheathed my swords, pointing them at her. My aura flickered, expanding into a radiant sky of rainbow colors, with hundreds of copies of myself shimmering into existence. 

“I’ll make you swear to it or slay you.” 

“Hoh? Slay me?!” She laughed, a sharp, mocking sound. 

“You’re a threat to this world, an immense one… If you don’t swear to help them, if you keep saying you hate them, then… what else do you expect me to do?!” 

“…” 

“…” 

The Dokkaebi and my mother glanced at me, visibly shocked by my words. 

Yes, this was a lesson I’d learned the hard way. 

My father’s words echoed in my mind: 

“In this world, Anna, you either hunt or are hunted. If you don’t show your foe you’re willing to stake your very life in a fight, they’ll never see you as a threat. You have to show them what you’re made of. Stare into their eyes and put your entire life on the line. Otherwise, you’re only prey in their eyes.” 

The Dokkaebi smiled, closing her eyes as her Aura dissipated. 

At the same time, I withdrew my Aura and sheathed my blades. 

“Heh, very well, Anna! Let’s make a bet,” she said. “In ten thousand years, if these people don’t change their ways and simply restart the cycle… you’ll owe me your soul.” 

“That’s a bit much, don’t you think?!” the Heavenly Empress interjected. 

“No, it’s fine,” I said with a confident smile. “Ten thousand years? That’s easy. My friends are immortals; they’ll live far longer. Zero One and her sisters are here too. I trust they’ll guide this world from now on… and above all, Mom will be there, and Song! Right? So it’s easy to believe they’ll manage somehow.” 

“Anna…” My mother smiled sweetly, nodding. “She’s not wrong! We’ll never let this world be swallowed by bloodshed and despair again!” 

“I see…” Nameless nodded. “Then we have a deal. I’ll protect this world with my life because… somehow, deep down, I want to believe in you. I honestly don’t know how she does it, but her cringy little speech hit my heart.” 

“She has that ability,” the Heavenly Empress laughed. “It’s part of why she became the Venerable of Love… It’s her power, the power to convince people, forge new bonds, and guide everyone together.” 

“What a strange and ridiculous power!” Nameless laughed. “Anna, you’d better come back one day! Show me how strong you’ve grown… because when you return, I want to spar with you.” 

“Sure thing!” I nodded. “And when I come back, I want to learn more about you, Lady Nameless—about the world you came from, its ancient past, its history, and even your life.” 

“Hoh, you’re quite the pervert, eh?” she laughed. “Fine, whatever. If you can land a few hits on me, I’ll tell you a bit about my horrible past… Heh. Damn brat.” 

“Thank you!” I bowed my head to her. “Then… I guess it’s about time to leave. I’m entrusting this world to you and my mother, so please, protect it and… love it as I do.” 

“Love it? Now you’re asking for something difficult…” she sighed. “Just leave already, get out of my sight before I change my mind!” 

“Alright, thank you again!” 

We flew back to the Heavenly Demon’s palace, where we shared the news with everyone. They were shocked that we’d somehow managed to convince her. 

“I’m sure Dad would be proud,” Song said with a smile. “Thank you, Anna. Even in your final hour here, you’re still saving us…” 

“That’s just who she is! Hehe,” Zero One giggled. 

FLUOSH!

At that moment, a portal opened behind me. I glanced back, realizing it was time.  Time flies… hours had passed in the blink of an eye as I chatted with my new friends and family, sipping tea one last time. 

“It’s time…” I said. “Thank you for everything, everyone! We’ve already cried and said our goodbyes… so I’d better leave before I make things sadder. But… I love you all.” 

I stepped toward the portal but was stopped as my mother hugged me, followed by Song, Wai Tian, Yin Sheng, Zero One and her sisters, and even little Yu, who flew over and hugged my head. 

“We’ll miss you, Anna! Please take care!” my mother cried. 

“Big sis, do your best!” Song said. 

“We know you can do anything!” Zero One added. “We’ll be waiting for you!” 

“Yeah, yeah!” Zero Two laughed. “Damn it, I hate hugging…” 

“Hm, it’s certainly a unique experience,” Zero Three A said. 

“But it’s nice,” Zero Three B giggled. 

“Take care, Anna. We love you!” Wai Tian said. “Never forget us, because we’ll make sure to never forget you and your legacy!” 

“No matter how many years pass, I’ll never forget you, my beloved young lady,” Yin Sheng said. “Even after my death, I’ll remember you forever.” 

“Ugh, whatever, have a hug, I guess!” Yu said cutely. 

“Everyone, I can barely breathe… but thanks… I love you all too!” I giggled, tears spilling despite myself. “Sara, Fang Shuan, Violet, Snow, Shiro! Let’s go!” 

As they finally released me, I walked toward the portal. My familiars and Sara stepped through first. I gave one last glance at everyone—they were crying, and— 

Eh? 

“Take care, Anna…” 

As I approached the portal, I heard his voice and saw him. 

His faint silhouette, smiling, waving at me from behind the others… 

The Heavenly Demon. 

Father… 

“Yes… I’ll do my best!”

As Anna stepped through the portal and arrived in her room, she felt disoriented by the sudden shift in reality.

Tears welled in her eyes as she glanced at her phone.

There, she saw a photo that Zero One had taken for her.

"Thank you for... being my family..."
