The Heavenly Martial Empress Returns Chapter 340: The Demon Boy

-----

“GRRRR…! GRAAAAHHH!”

The boy leaped toward her, his bloodlust at its peak. Kalana panicked, realizing her brother wasn’t acting normally. She quickly unleashed her powerful Aura, her tattoos glowing brightly. Golden and silver light surged from Kalana, fusing into a green-colored energy that shaped itself into large shields.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

“Aaaagh! Rainbow Eyes! Stop hitting me! We’re siblings! We shouldn’t fight like this!”

Kalana was panicking. She had never seen this happen to Rainbow Eyes before, nor did she have experience with a family member suddenly turning against her. She didn’t want to harm him, but she couldn’t let him harm her either.

“RAAAAHHHH!”

Rainbow Eyes roared angrily, his nails growing into long black claws. He released a massive explosion of blazing silver flames from his mouth, impacting Kalana’s shields—materialized from her Aura—and sending her flying.

BOOOM!

“Stop it, Rainbow Eyes! Don’t do this! Why are you fighting me?!”

Kalana emerged from the dust, her shields shattered but quickly replaced with new ones for further protection. Her Nine Heavens Barrier activated, adding another layer of defense. She manifested a huge hammer made of crimson and green steel from her Venerable Aura.

FLUOSH!

The hammer overflowed with emerald winds spinning around it—a testament to her ability to materialize weapons from her Aura, a unique technique she had been mastering over the past few months.

It even allowed her to imbue elemental power into her temporary creations, making her abilities far more versatile. However, few had seen the full extent of her powers yet.

“GRRRR…! GRAAAA…!”

Rainbow Eyes slammed the ground angrily, his powers surging endlessly, like a volcano.

RUMBLE!

The tremor his Aura provoked drew the attention of everyone else, who were finishing off the last Ice Beasts and Ice Golems left behind.

“Was that your son’s scream? And Kalana’s!” Mursha said, panicking. “Fiery Hair, we have to go!”

“Ohh!” Fiery Hair nodded, rushing toward the children alongside Mursha.

As they moved, they noticed the snow melting outside, the skies gradually clearing. The clouds that perpetually covered this world were long gone.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

BOOM!

“Ah, over there!”

“What’s going on?!”

Mursha and Fiery Hair reached the scene, witnessing Kalana and Rainbow Eyes fighting fiercely. Kalana was clearly on the defensive, using her hammer and shields to parry blows and block attacks, while Rainbow Eyes, possessed by his own powers, roared like a beast, devoid of intelligence or memories of who he was.

“Rainbow Eyes! Stop it!”

Fiery Hair rushed forward, reaching her son. As Rainbow Eyes faced his mother, he furiously kicked at her fists, pushing her back before leaping into the air and rushing down, striking Kalana’s shield and barrier, destroying both.

BOOOM!

“Ugh…!”

Kalana rolled across the grass. Mursha caught her and quickly healed her using her healing phoenix flames, glancing back at Rainbow Eyes attacking Fiery Hair.

“Kalana! My dear! What’s going on?! Are you okay?!” Mursha asked, hugging her daughter.

“A-Ahh, Mama! Rainbow Eyes! He’s gone nuts! I don’t know what’s happening, but he went mad!” Kalana said. “There’s some weird demonic power inside him! I don’t know how to calm him down!”

“RUUAARRRR!”

As Kalana spoke, Rainbow Eyes roared, his voice echoing through the forest. Fiery Hair used her full power to contain her son, but it wasn’t enough. She was covered in bruises, exhausted. Each of her son’s blows was immensely strong. Despite all the power she had cultivated until now, the mother was no match for her son.

Yet she had to stop him—it was her responsibility as his mother. If she let him rampage any longer, what disasters could he cause?

“My son! What’s happening to you?! Answer your mama! Stop fighting! Stop fighting, Rainbow Eyes!”

“RAAAAAHHH!”

Rainbow Eyes didn’t hear her, leaping toward her and unleashing a rapid assault of punches and kicks, releasing explosive shockwaves with each blow. Fiery Hair was pushed back repeatedly, her arms covered in bruises and bleeding. She felt her bones were on the verge of breaking.

“Something is wrong with you! You’re not like this! You’re my sweet son! My child…! Rainbow Eyes! Please, come back to me!”

Crying, Fiery Hair rushed toward Rainbow Eyes, hugging him as tightly as she could with her enormous arms, determined not to let him destroy anything further.

“GRYAAAAHHH!”

The boy roared angrily, feeling the immense force of his mother trying to contain him. He thrashed wildly, swinging his fists and legs, punching and kicking her entire body. Her face was covered in bruises and wounds, and one of her eyes was already purple from the blows.

“Fiery Hair! Kalana, we have to stop your brother!” Mursha said. “Come with me!”

“Y-Yes!” Kalana nodded, rushing toward them.

At the same time, Orion and Athena sensed an immense demonic aura surging from far away. At first, they thought it could be another archdemon like Belphegor, but it was too familiar for that to be the case.

“Is that Rainbow Eyes?!” Athena asked.

“What the hell is going on?!” Orion said.

“We have to go!” the sister urged. “Let’s go!”

“Y-Yeah!” Orion nodded.

Their mothers stayed behind, wondering what had happened, but they sensed the battle and quickly followed their children.

Meanwhile, Fiery Hair’s grip on her son was loosening. Her energies were being drained by his strange demonic aura, weakening her further with each passing second…

“Rainbow Eyes! Please stop! Stop this! I am Fiery Hair…! Your mother!”

“GRAAAHH! GRAAAHHH! GRAAAAAHHH!”

But the boy wouldn’t listen to her words, the immense demonic power within him consuming him entirely.
