For a moment, the aberrant Outer God glimpsed a spark of reason, a fragment of a past long forgotten. As the cold consumed him entirely, he smiled faintly. These memories, which he thought had overcome—the traumas of his past that now defined the entity he had become, the embodiment of the flames that devoured everything that day, and his ascension toward nirvana through a path of endless blazing agony—stirred within him. For a fleeting moment, he felt a slight sense of lucidity amidst his insanity.

This small glimpse of lucidity brought him unexpected joy, as he realized that perhaps the true path to eternal peace had not yet been achieved. Maybe, just maybe, these remarkable little flames could help him find the eternal peace he still desired deep down, amidst the flames he embodied and the crystallized fire that held him in a state of endless stasis within space and time. 

“Not bad… my little flame…” 

BOOOMMM!!!

With a faint smile, the Unending Crimson’s frozen vessel exploded, and his presence vanished entirely. Even the Blazing Golems he had created abruptly stopped burning, collapsing to the ground and crumbling into pieces one by one. The soldiers fighting them desperately alongside Insecta and her insectoid army were taken aback. The fearsome blazing golems—tough, durable, and capable of incinerating anything with a mere touch—disintegrated instantly, finally ending their harrowing trial. 

The explosion of ice reached far and wide, causing everyone on the battlefield, both golems and soldiers, to pause for a moment to witness the snow falling from the skies. It was an awe-inspiring sight, prompting even Queenie and her followers to halt their frantic fight on the frontlines. Many Players had already died, though it hardly mattered to them—the penalties were minimal unless the Player had a special background like Vlad or Chris. 

“Whew, just what was that?” Queenie gazed into the distance. “I couldn’t even join them. Were they fighting a huge threat?” 

“Seems to be the case, Queenie…” said a skeleton Player clad in full black armor, wielding a large black, phantasmal axe that constantly crackled with lightning through his body.

He was Queenie’s right-hand man and one of her biggest simps, Skelethor. 

“Well, good riddance. Vlad and his band are a bunch of overpowered guys! They can just take on anything, huh?” remarked an artificer, a blue-skinned goblin girl riding a massive golem made of bronze and black steel, equipped with large arms, cannons, and guns.

She was one of Queenie’s biggest fangirls, Mechanica. 

“Ah, well, that’s for the better… Not like our work here is done yet. Look!” Queenie pointed into the distance as another wave of golems surged forward. 

It seemed their difficulties were far from over, as more foes rapidly approached. Right behind them came yet another Raid Boss.

There were apparently five of them, and three had been defeated so far, with two more on the way. Perhaps the colossal Mountain Dragon Golem that Ezekiel was riding was one of the Raid Bosses, while whatever approached now was the fifth.

Ezekiel himself, the King of the Neburians, didn’t seem to count as a Raid Boss but as a separate category—a “World Boss” or something similar, a novel phenomenon unique to Obscuritas so far. This had skyrocketed the Realm’s popularity, prompting most new Players to create their Avatars in this Realm to be part of the place with the most updates. 

In Fantasy Story Online, although updates came regularly, special content had to be unlocked by Players interacting with the world and its environment first. What was happening now was something akin to that.

The Players knew this was their big opportunity to grow stronger quickly. The items offered in the Raid Shop were always top-notch, so they couldn’t possibly miss these rewards. They had to fight with everything they had. 

“SHIEEEEEEEE!”

A mighty shriek reverberated through the empty, scorched plains where the battle was unfolding. A massive spider with the upper torso of a woman emerged, stepping forward, surrounded by countless other spiders.

However, these spiders were all golems made of hard black stone, encrusted with glowing blue and purple crystals. Their crystallized souls inside created powerful soul crystal cores, fueling their golem bodies with immense quantities of Arcana and Soul Energy.

“Here she comes! We’re finally getting one ourselves…!” Queenie announced. “Everyone! As we’ve practiced, we must attack from a distance! Don’t let the golems get too close!” 

As she declared with her magic wand microphone, she unleashed her special magic, manifesting a wave of pink light adorned with countless hearts. 

“{Lovely Heart}!” 

FLUOSH!

Queenie’s magic was a blend of buffing, healing, and protection, with additional effects amplified by her followers’ adoration. Unlike Chris, who preferred fighting more conventionally, Queenie maximized her racial traits as a Succubus queen to the fullest. Her Class had evolved in a unique direction due to her popularity among Players, granting her a powerful set of skills capable of enhancing a large group of followers and allies who held any affection toward her. 

“UUOOOOHHHHH! YES, QUEENIE!” 

Her fervent fans roared, their auras surging with pink hues and hearts. Queenie’s remarkable ability swiftly strengthened them, skyrocketing all their stats for a brief period. In that moment, Archers, Gunners, Artificers, Magicians, Wizards, and anyone capable of long-range attacks unleashed a torrent of projectiles, bombarding the giant Arachne-like Raid Boss before they could even learn her name. 

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
