He embedded the crystal into his magic sword and used Geomancy and Alchemy to fuse it within.

The monster’s spiritual energy and phantasmal power surged, transforming the sword into a crystalline blue hue with vibrant tones of purple, red, yellow, and green.

The more crystals he infused into his sword, the more it was “upgraded”!

Vlad’s eyes widened as he saw the changes in his sword! This was exactly the upgrade he needed, which he hadn’t done earlier due to a lack of better materials. With this, he felt confident he could handle anything. 

“Take these crystals and use them. They’re powerful. We’ll need as much strength as possible,” he said. “Also, well done, everyone! That was amazing.” 

“Wait, how do you even…?!” Chris was confused as Vlad grabbed the crystal and his bow, merging them together using Alchemy. 

“It’s not as refined as using a Cauldron and a Forge, but it’ll have to do for now,” Vlad said with a nod. 

“Ooooh! Now that’s cool! My trident next!” Chris asked, as Vlad did the same with his trident. 

Both Chris’s bow and trident changed, gaining a glistening blue, purple, red, and yellow crystalline coating, fusing with the weapons’ abilities and further boosting their bonus stats and effects. 

“Well, if you’re offering free upgrades, I can’t say no to that!” Gofumina stepped forward alongside Ermelinda. 

“Are you sure that’s fine, though? I’ve never seen this level of alchemy or forging before… Don’t you need special tools to do this?” Ermelinda asked. 

“Yeah, but he’s a freak and uses Alchemy for fighting, to the extent he doesn’t even need a cauldron anymore. That magic is just part of him or something,” Alitheus explained, patting Vlad’s shoulders while flying close to him, playfully bumping him with his hips. 

Vlad sighed, quickly reforging Gofumina’s Great Sword and Ermelinda’s spear and longbow. Unlike Alitheus, the half-elf wielded a much larger longbow, which took longer to shoot but could fire at greater distances with even bigger arrows—spirit arrows she sometimes used. 

“Alright, we’re done,” he said. “And… uh, well, we’re surrounded again.” 

“GRUOOOHHHH!”

RUMBLE! 

The ground trembled as giant golems emerged to greet them. Although they had managed to destroy a Raid Boss and its army of flying golems, a new group of golems appeared, these resembling giant worms, digging through the ground and surfacing one after another.

Their bodies were even more reinforced than usual, covered with hard metallic ore, crystals, and durable magic stones. It seemed that while part of the army aimed for Elderbridge through the skies, this group was trying to dig beneath it. 

Vlad smiled, thinking it was much better to lure these things toward them rather than let them reach Elderbridge. Unlike the previous army of Ezekiel, these golems were easy to lure once someone took down a few of their members. 

BOOOM!

But that wasn’t all. A much larger worm-type golem surged from the ground, roaring mightily with an immense size of over two hundred meters. Yet another Raid Boss appeared.
