OP Sister Chapter 429: Zero One And Raven

Listen While Reading: オバアチャン/破壊
-----

“We’ll distract her!”

“You two go after Raven!”

Hearing the voices of the Zero Three twins, Zero One and Zero Two nodded, rushing toward the left corridor, running around large quantities of abandoned equipment, which began moving again out of nowhere.

“Don’t think that such simple tactics will work against me. I am the machine made to solve all of humanity’s problems!”

RUMBLE!

Out of nowhere, abandoned computers and other technological devices jumped back to life, unifying as the Supercomputer controlled them with its own circuits, fusing them together into a chimeric mechanical beast!

“GRAAAAHHH!”

With a loud, metallic, and glitching roar, the mechanical beast, resembling a massive wolf with a head made of three computers fused together and covered in sharp metallic spikes, rushed toward both sisters.

“HAAAH!”

Zero Two roared back, unleashing a barrage of attacks as her katanas clashed against the mechanical beast’s claws. Explosions of red flames and electricity erupted whenever they exchanged blows.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

The beast seemed unlike any other monster they had battled before—much more resilient and stronger despite its composition being rather poor.

This probably meant that it had a gigantic quantity of data within it, making it stronger within this digital space.

CLAAASH!

Zero Two was pushed back as the beast charged against her, slamming her into the ground with immense force. But the android used her mechanical armor and her aura well, protecting herself while using her swords to resist the claws, pushing upward in a stalemate against the beast.

“Sister!”

Zero One was about to run and help her sister, but Zero Two looked at Zero One, furrowing her eyebrows and gritting her teeth.

“What are you doing, dumbass?! Don’t come here! Go! I’ll distract this thing! HURRY!”

“Zero Two… Thank you!”

Zero One smiled with hope in her eyes as she ran through the corridor, reaching the door!

However…

RUMBLE!

Several long and thick metallic cables stopped her. Their mechanical claws and pincers rushed toward her, grabbing Zero One and pushing her into the ground!

CRAAASH!

“Aagh!”

As Zero One groaned in pain, the claws tightly held all her limbs, pushing her down and keeping her completely paralyzed. Another mechanical limb emerged above her, glaring at her with another artificial eye.

“I won’t let you harm Raven… She is the last human! She is… She is… The only thing I have left!”

“M-Mother…”

Raven was everything she had—the last human, and ultimately…

It seemed that despite what she said, Mother had grown very fond of her.

“Mother? What’s going on? Mom!”

Raven’s voice echoed through the door as she started hitting it, but what little strength she had could barely do much.

“I promised Raven we would come back to her…”

Zero One glared at her mother, her eyes glowing bright gold as she started opposing her Mother’s limbs, slowly beginning to push back.

“I said I would come back for her!”

RUMBLE!

Her Aura erupted from her body as she began pushing further and further. Her hands grabbed Mother’s mechanical tentacles and crushed them.

CRAAASH!

“And I won’t stop until I fulfill my promise and save you as well, Mother!”

The Supercomputer glanced at Zero One and her eyes filled with immense determination, realizing that there was something odd about this robot.

That there was something wrong with her too.

“I… I cannot let you…! I cannot let you harm her!”

“I won’t harm her!”

Zero One clashed against her Mother’s Subconscious as their Auras collided. Zero One kept pushing forward more and more…

“Uugghh…!”

“Stop this! It’s pointless. I will never let you touch Raven. I will never let you touch my daughter! The only… the only… the only thing that matters to me…!”

“So those are your true feelings, Mother…”

As Zero One felt the immense power of the supercomputer push her back constantly, suddenly, she saw two blurs of red and gold appear by her right and left sides.

CRAAASH!

BAAAAM!

Her sisters appeared, pushing forward with her and beginning to destroy Mother’s mechanical limbs one by one.

“Zero One! Don’t give up yet!” Zero Two roared.

“We’re here for you!” The Zero Three twins said.

“Right… With everyone’s powers…!”

Zero One’s Aura merged with the Auras of Zero Two, Zero Three A, and Zero Three B. As their Auras converged and swirled together, a giant woman made of silver, golden, and red light manifested.

“HAAAAHH!”

And pushed forward with all their strength as Mother’s tentacles were blasted into pieces and her defenses completely broken, even including the force field set up in front of the sealed door.

BOOOMMM!!!

Smoke and flames covered the surroundings as Zero One and her sisters slowly opened their eyes, realizing that Mother was left with no more limbs to fight with and barely any energy left.

And despite all that, she was still alive, her artificial eye glancing at Zero One, slightly cracked as it let out small sparks of electricity.

“Y-You…! Don’t…! Don’t… give another… step!”

Zero One looked at her mother as she and her sisters then walked toward the door. Using the cards of Raven’s parents, they gained immediate access to the room inside.

“Mom!”

And from within, a young woman appeared, rushing outside of the door.

As Zero One and her sisters glanced at the scene, the girl ran toward the supercomputer, whose eye looked confused.

“A-Are you okay? What happened?”

“R-Raven?”

Raven then looked back at Zero One and her sisters, confused and scared.

The girls quickly noticed she looked a bit different from last time.

She was much older, looking like she was in her early twenties now.

Most of her body was covered in white bandages, with both of her arms now replaced by mechanical limbs, alongside her left leg.

She was missing an eye, as she wore a white eyepatch, and she looked very weak, with several tubes in her body, which she dragged along.

Cough, cough… A-Ah… Why… Why did you harm my mom?”

“W-We didn’t mean to… I’m sorry.”

Zero One apologized as she shed a small tear.

And then, she noticed Mother was in silence—completely in silence.

“Raven…”

Until she spoke again.

“Why… Don’t you see who I truly am? Why do you… Why do you refer to me as your Mother, even though I am not? I was… tricking you. Your mother’s last wish was—”

“I know…”

Raven sighed, hugging the cold metal that was the supercomputer that had accompanied her all these years.

“I knew since the beginning!”

“…You did? But then why did you…”

“Because… Because I saw you as my mom… B-Because… You take care of me, and always talk to me… And we play together… A-And… You’re my family…”

“Family…?”

Zero One and her sisters noticed Mother’s artificial eye. The small crack was leaking coolant liquid, resembling a small tear.

Was it coincidence? Was it intentional?

They couldn’t really know, but…

It was as if the cold Mother, the Supercomputer that claimed to have no emotions,

Had shed a tear.

“Why did you do this to Mom? I-I won’t let you harm her anymore…”

Raven weakly stood in front of the supercomputer, spreading her arms as if she were trying to defend her.

Despite knowing she was much weaker than a robot, and despite knowing that it would be hopeless to even fight back…

“This is illogical… Raven, stop… I… You cannot protect me… You’re weak and…”

“I don’t care!”

“Ah…!”

“You’re my family, so I’ll protect you even if I die! Because… because what else do I have left?”

“Raven…!”

Zero One and her sisters heard Mother’s voice echoing with such an incredible level of emotion that everything became much clearer now.

“We came here for you, Raven,” sighed Zero One. “You’re the core of Mother’s subconscious, where she keeps all her emotions, her memories, and who she truly is sealed.”

“Eh?” Raven was confused, looking at the supercomputer and the girls. “W-Wait a second! I remember you girls! You were the androids that infiltrated and went through the hole!”

“You remember that? But I thought each memory was separate…?” Zero Two wondered.

“It appears every layer is somehow interconnected…” Zero Three A said.

“So she retained her memories… Incredible,” Zero Three B muttered.

“Raven…” Zero One walked slowly toward Raven, as the human girl didn’t step back but faced her directly. “We look quite alike, don’t we?”

“E-Eh? Ah…” Raven realized their similarities… Indeed, they looked like twins. “Are we twins?”

“Hahah… I don’t think so,” Zero One smiled back at Raven. “But… Maybe we could be?”

“What… do you want to do with me and Mother?” Raven asked.

“I want to let you finally be free,” said Zero One. “I… mean absolutely no harm, but Mother attacked us. We had to defend ourselves, or else this entire mission to save her would have been for nothing.”

“To save her?” Raven asked. “Wait, what’s going on? Is she in even more danger?”

“Yes…” Zero One said. “I’ll briefly explain things to you, so please listen well.”
