So, I posted my previous comment before watching your reaction. My bad.
You asked why Mon Mothma’s daughter’s braids were shorter. They’re called “maiden braids”. One braid gets cut when a girl is engaged and the other is cut when she becomes a bride. I believe there was a culture on Earth that had that tradition (or perhaps several), but I can’t remember which culture it was or when it was practiced. I just know I have heard the term “maiden braids” before I watched this show. Maybe it came from a book I read. Sorry for being so forgetful.

Another great episode.
I was a little shocked at the attempted rape scene the first time. Not shocked that Imperial soldiers would use rape as a weapon. Of course they would. I was shocked that Disney didn’t try to censor it.
Mon Mothma had her idealism shattered in this episode. She now has to stare the necessity of killing for the Rebellion in the face. She doesn’t want to though, so she gets drunk and dances.

I’ve read somewhere that the actor who plays Syril improvised that (I apologize for forgetting the actor’s name). I agree how it perfectly shows how beaten down Syril has become over the years by his mother’s assaults on his character.

Glad you realised what Brasso meant in the edit; so many viewers (and reactors) didn't get that. The ruse was over and Brasso did what he could to try to make Kellen and the others look like they had nothing to do with it/were helping the empire, in an effort to spare them punishment.

The scene with Dedra and Cyril‘s mom is hilarious, and I love Cyril’s reaction of just giving up and laying face down on the bed 😆
