A FEW GOOD MEN - Full Length Reaction!

Here's the full length reaction to A Few Good Men! This movie blew me away!! I had heard amazing things about this movie, but it went beyond my high expectations. I was curious if any moments would feel slow in this movie, but the pacing was great! I was captivated the entire time, and it felt like the movie went by so quickly. What a great film! Enjoy!

I have seen this movie prob 40 times. The same for Misery. I've never noticed Paul Sheldon's novel "Misery's Love" on Kaffee's shelf before. What an egg!

AdrianF

Uhh. One Flew Over? Maybe she did that already and I don't know about it.

RabidMango

Not meaning to make unfair assumptions, but the doctor seemed suspicious when I saw he had six fingers on his right hand. Christopher Guest has a bunch of great films, but I'd suggest you check out This Is Spinal Tap (1984).

Luis Fernandez

Even in that film he's a bit difficult to fully embrace at times. "Easy Rider," "The King of Marvin Gardens," "Goin' South," "Reds," "Terms of Endearment," and "Broadcast News" might be better examples (though he only has supporting roles in some of these).

Maybe As Good As It Gets (1997) could fit the bill. #AsGoodAsItGetsForAddieCounts

I served in the Navy from 90 - 10 and retired as a EN1. I remember when i made E4 in 93 and my arm was bruised for a long time. It hurt for over a week thats for sure. I know that hazing was really cracked down on and i didnt see much the higher i went. I also didnt wail on people on they made it. Just a little tap or a rub. Im not sure when this movie came out in conjuction with Tail Hook, but damn was Commander Galloway sexually harassed in this movie. Caffee would have and should have been jerked up for his lack of Military Bearing. Great movie though. I will watch to see what Addie says about it now.

Matthew Maxon

One of these days (hopefully) Addie will watch a movie where he plays a more genuinely likeable character. 🤨

Byrd N. Hand

Yeah one of the coolest movies based on a play BUT that play is based on a real true story and real court case. Just so well done. I worked with NCIS in the navy IRL and we all love this film.

Thats MR. Baldamort

I get the feeling that Addie was as thoroughly satisfied as she was because it was the scariest man alive, Jack Nicholson, getting his comeuppance 🤣

Julian San

And "A Time to Kill" with another memorable courtroom quote.

I like that they didn't force a romance between Tom Cruise and Demi Moore's characters. Sometimes it's nice just to see a man and woman develop a platonic friendship. And it really wouldn't have fit the tone of the movie if they were suddenly kissing in the middle of it.

Another great military courtroom drama is Rules of Engagement starting Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L. Jackson.

SnakeandNape

Great film and I only watch/Recommend the best with the best. 😀

I always tear up in those final scenes. Those last scenes are some of the most powerful scenes I have ever watched in a movie. So well done, and Nicholson was amazing.

Hey Addie. I’m so glad that you enjoyed this iconic movie. Even though his character is a real scoundrel, I really enjoy Jack Nicholson’s performance the most his speech while on the stand is so epic. And I’m glad you finally know where that iconic line is from. If you want a movie where you might actually like Jack’s character, you may want to consider “As Good As It Gets”. I mean, you may start not liking him, but something tells me you’ll end up liking him by the end. Also, I noticed how you stopped your thought when you saw Kevin Bacon appear onscreen for the first time in this movie. I hate to be a broken record, but another great Kevin Bacon movie/performance is Stir of Echoes. It is a creepy movie but I totally think you can handle it. It would be a great choice for October. Anyway, I’ll keep going on hoping you’ll be considering Stir of Echoes for one of your October reactions. Also, I want to say Happy Holidays to you & yours and I hope you have a fantastic new year.

Cameron Kerby

Since you loved this, you should consider watching The West Wing. The man who wrote that show is who wrote this movie.

The Dingo

Ooh. Good ones here.

Alex Tan

I saw this in the theater, and have probably watched it a hundred times since. I love this movie, but I am a bit bias too since I have always been a Tom Cruise fan, and this is one of my favorites of his. I love everything about it. I especially love the point where Tom Cruise tries to do a little Jack Nicholson impression. I also find that scene funny, because Kevin Pollak got his start in stand up doing impersonations, and you can even hear his William Shatner as Kirk when he says "Why?! Because he couldn't run fast!" And it was nice seeing Demi Moore in this, because she seemed like she had vanished for a while before this. Yes, I love everything about this movie, and could go on all day about it.

More Rob Reiner: "This Is Spinal Tap," "The Sure Thing," "Stand by Me," and "When Harry Met Sally..." More Tom Cruise: "Rain Man," "Eyes Wide Shut," and "Minority Report" More Jack Nicholson: "Easy Rider," "Five Easy Pieces," "Carnal Knowledge," "The King of Marvin Gardens," "The Last Detail," "Chinatown" (and its sequel, "The Two Jakes"), "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "The Witches of Eastwick," and "About Schmidt" More Demi Moore: "One Crazy Summer"

Happy Monday, Addie! I hope that you had a great weekend. 😊 "You can't handle the truth!", one of the most iconic quotes from this movie. This is a fantastic movie. Top-tier acting by all three of the leads: Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, and Jack Nicholson. For more Tom Cruise, I very highly recommend the 1983 movie "The Outsiders". For more Jack Nicholson, I very highly recommend the 1997 "As Good As It Gets". And for more Demi Moore, I very highly recommend the 1990 "Ghost". Have a great day today! 😊

Addie, Born on the Fourth of July is part of Oliver Stone’s Vietnam Trilogy that begins with Platoon. 1. Platoon (1986) 2. Born on the Fourth of July (1989) 3. Heaven & Earth (1993)

Lee Pitman

I actually know a retired Marine Colonel who was an extra in the softball scene since he was stationed at Marine Barracks Washington when the movie was filmed. Apparently Demi Moore’s uniform was all kinds of messed up when she showed up on set so he had to tell the costume guys to take a bunch of stuff off of it and change where some of her awards were placed right before shooting.

Another Tom Cruise movie that came out in 1992 that I'll suggest to you is Far and Away (1992), filmed for the first time in Panavision Super 70mm. #FarAndAwayForAddieCounts https://youtu.be/01c0fIg1bFI?feature=shared And another TC movie that was also shot by cinematographer Robert Richardson, ASC, AČK, that I would love to see you watch is Born on the Fourth of July (1989). #BornOnTheFourthOfJulyForAddieCounts https://youtu.be/75sZjnTWur0?feature=shared

I'm personally champing at the bit for her "2001: A Space Odyssey" reaction, since it's one of my all-time favorite films, and I'm always curious as to how younger people feel about it.

Byrd N. Hand

Happy Monday, Addie. You can't handle the truth about how good A Few Good Men (1992) is. I just watched it last week and I enjoyed it. Because of this, it's now my ALL-TIME favorite Rob Reiner movie. Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, and Demi Moore are really good in it.

Alex Tan

Wicked 😘😘😘

PHILLIP CORNISH

Not me expecting Batman vs Superman, though A Few Good Men is a welcome surprise. Also, fan casting Tom Cruise as The Flash (Jay Garrick).

LittleGalaxyBoy

It's such a joy to watch others experience an amazing movie for the first time! I'm glad that you now understand the full context behind the iconic "You can't handle the truth!" meme!

Phil Stubblefield

We're gonna find out if Addie can handle the truth.
