Addie, please watch Child's Play

JT

I think that not a lot of younger people (like Addie) have the same history of or exposure to cinema, that you guys had, and are are heavily drawn to certain movies that they grew up with and perhaps stuck with more contemporary & light-hearted fare that benefitted them individually. But it's never too late to learn about cinema's century-long existence.

Alex Tan

Alas, not enough people still seem to realize that movies *did* in fact exist before 30 years ago... ๐Ÿ˜‘

Byrd N. Hand

no one appreciates the older classics, it's gotta be gore, oh well

Pendragon1951

Yay!! 100k!! Congratulations! ๐Ÿ˜€

Guillaume Huet

Congratulations on your 100k Addie. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ˜˜

PHILLIP CORNISH

I know I've said this in previous polls, but most of the movies above have an abundance of reactions already; still nice to see a great personality like Addie react to them also. A few suggestions for some that I saw fewer or no reactions on other channels: Mr. Brooks (2007), Disturbia (2007), The Uninvited (2009), The Black Phone (2023); Oh, another I'd like to see her reaction/commentary for that's not exactly horror genre, but a horrifying true story nonetheless, is Changeling (2008) with Angelina Jolie. Congrats, Addie, on reaching the 100K milestone!

2024.. the year of 1๏ธโƒฃ0๏ธโƒฃ0๏ธโƒฃ,0๏ธโƒฃ0๏ธโƒฃ0๏ธโƒฃ SUBSCRIBERS!!! Congratulations ADD-E and OLL-E and JEREM-E!!!

Billy Dancel

Congrats on hitting 100 million thousand subscribers Addie!

Thats MR. Baldamort

"The Birds" was likely quite scary for 1963, but even now there are some moments that would probably feel a bit intense. It's still my favorite Hitchcock film; for me, "Vertigo" is his most overrated, followed by "Psycho." But only "Psycho" (which Addie watched last year) and "The Birds" really fit among spooky season among his films; the others can be watched any time.

Byrd N. Hand

Let's give Addie a round of applause for officially reaching 100K!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

Alex Tan

I've personally been disappointed with a lot of my favorite reactors' selections so far this October. Too much newer crap (which will appear continue here) and not nearly enough older classics. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Byrd N. Hand

You did it, girl! 100K!! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

Byrd N. Hand

P.S. Congratulations on 100k subscribers, looks like you just hit it! ๐Ÿฅณ

Doug

Nightmare on Elm Street!!! Such a great campy, classic horror film!!

PrimadonnaKath

It was between 'Sleepy Hollow' and 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'. Hard choice.

Kyle Brandon Sanger

Wow, Addie been drinking some of that courage juice.

Julian San

If you want a classic horror you can't beat The Birds or Carrie. Both amazing movies

Lana Gorgeous

The Birds isn't actually that scary at all, and I think it's way overrated out of Hitchcock's overall filmography. Plus, there was all the behind the scenes drama where Hitch not only intentionally tortured Tippie Hedren, he went on to ruin her career and sexually assaulted her at a later point (there's a whole book and movie based on that). He was a great filmmaker but a very troubled man.

HeyHeyJK

The Birds fits Spooky Season for sure, although my personal favorite Hitchcock thriller is Strangers on a Train. ๐Ÿ™‚ That oneโ€™s not really Halloweeny, though, itโ€™s just a crime thriller really.

Doug

My three favorites on this are A Quiet Place, Carrie, and Shutter Island. Nightmare on Elm Street is good too, although the original feels a little dated. Childโ€™s Play and Arachnophobia are also both pretty good, just not enough for me to vote for them compared to my top three. ๐Ÿ™‚ P.S. Looks like Quiet Place is winning so far. Looking forward to rewatching it if it wins!

Doug

However, I wish that The Exorcist (1973) was on this poll.

Alex Tan

The Birds is classic Hitchcock, I hope we'll go with it.

Joseph Voigt

Let's go Sleepy Hollow!

Andy Munden

I really like Shutter Island but I feel you can watch that anytime, so I'm disappointed to see it on an October list (it is creepy but not really scary). I really dislike birds and they creep me out and I hate to be near them, so I always feel very uncomfortable watching The Birds because it creeps me out and my dislike for birds makes me think it is one of the scariest movies ever. So ya, that gets my vote.

Luis Fernandez

Well, if you don't want to be scared, I would say you should watch Sleepy Hollow or Shutter Island. I don't remember The Birds really being scary either, but I'm not certain about that.

Travis Berzas

I was 0 years old when The Birds came out... A Quiet Place sine me and my wife watched both!

Randolph Tirazona

Yeah. More karate chops and Addie screams can be expected here.

Alex Tan

A Quiet place will be one of the best horror reactions from addie. I can feel it.

SR2 Prod.

My vote is for A nightmare on elm street. Simply because I met someone from the film and were the nicest, coolest people ever

Cody Cameron

Happy Thursday Addie. I know, I know you'll get scared, but you'll like A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Troy Sinegal

Iโ€™m really happy The Birds is doing as well as it is

Ben Wheeler

Happy Thursday! A good list, but it's my firm view that you can never go wrong with Hitchcock.

Jon Anderson

Happy Thursday, Addie! ๐Ÿ˜Š All great choices for this one. "A Nightmare on Elm Street" was an easy pick for me. Followed by "Sleepy Hollow". Have a great day today! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Randee Carreno

You know you can vote for more than one movie, right?

Patrick Blondin

All very appropriate for the spooky season! โค๏ธ

Patrick Blondin

Alot of great choices here especially elm street and Friday the 13th so I chose almost all of the options lol

KingGoji94

My vote went to Sleepy hollow. A great mix of creep and fun

Guillaume Huet

I hope we actually get a good classic horror movie, no one does it like Hitchcock

Pendragon1951

Happy Thursday, Addie. All are good choices but my votes go for The Birds (1963), Carrie (1976), Arachnophobia (1990), I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Shutter Island (2010) and A Quiet Place (2018).

Alex Tan

Arachnophobia might produce a few more jump scares, but I love Sleepy Hollowโ€”it's my favorite Johnny Depp film, and has a great cast and a cool take on the legend.

Andrew Harrison
