DIRTY HARRY - Full Length Reaction!

The cutest Clint Eastwood, well cute and rugged, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, famous western from 1966, it's rated as one of the top 2 greatest westerns of all time............................... and if you go way back, he starred in a series called Rawhide, he was in his 20's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOh_KFEX7K0

Hi Addie! You should check out “Zodiac” directed by David Fincher. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr (All Marvel Actors😉) it’s about investigating the Zodiac Killer who terrorized the Bay Area in the late 1960s. “Dirty Harry” drew inspiration from that crime spree.

I think most people will remember Santoni as Poppy on Seinfeld.

Reni Santoni (who played Harry's partner, Chico) was an occasional collaborator with writer/director Carl Reiner. Reiner directed Reni in the semi-autobiographical "Enter Laughing" (1967), a wonderful comedy about a high school kid who dreams of making it on Broadway and in the movies. The only problem the kid has is that he doesn't know the first thing about acting. Look for a cameo with Carl Reiner's son, Rob.

outlaw Jose Wales, Kelly's Heros are great Eastwood movies

the theater marquee had Play Misty For Me early in this movie

This movie is great but the sequels are a diminishing return each time in my opinion. I think this movie works best as a stand alone movie, especially with the ending.

Trembling Colors

Don't forget the "Naked Gun" movies.

It’s a joy to see Clint Eastwood in his prime. Dirty Harry is the progenitor of the bad ass cop trope in my opinion.

Poor old Andrew Robinson (Scorpio) had a hard time after this movie, he was so convincing as the villain that he actually got hate mail and was hassled on the street, and he was really typecast. It took a while for him to get his career back!

Andre Agog

The next in the series, Magnum Force is a worthy sequel. The Enforcer is meh. Sudden Impact is very different, with elements of a murder/mystery, cop action and even a little horror mixed in.

Stephen Malloy

Andrew Robinson who plays Scorpio is great. 🙂 He also played the ex-Cardassian Spy Garak in Deep Space Nine and was one of the main characters in Hellraiser. And he did a lot of character acting in the '70s and '80s.

Since you have a crush on young Clint Eastwood, you should check out the filmography of his son, Scott Eastwood. He looks just like his father did when he was younger. They even tried putting him in a western (“Diablo” 2016), but he doesn’t quite have his father’s charisma—just the looks. I think he has a small part in "Gran Torino" If I'm not mistaken. And of course, you can just watch more Dirty Harry movies. 😊 I’d say the most disturbing part of this movie was Scorpio’s abduction of the school bus. That, and Harry parking the car off-center in the parking space outside the mayor’s office. Shocking! 🫨

Wow! This is the first time I've ever seen a reactor catch that reference from "The Naked Gun".

I love the 'Dirty Harry' series, although, the last film isn't my favorite to be honest. Harry is the classic no-nonsense anti-hero renegade cop who plays by his own rules because he knows that the system is either corrupt or broken. I think it was right after this film that Clint Eastwood made his directorial debut with 'Play Misty For Me'.

Addie, fun fact. Not sure if you are aware of the Zodiac Killer in real life. Well this movie is like a alternative reality to it. In real life the serial killer did send letters in the mail, with the demands and the threats, but unlike this movie, the killer was never identified or even caught. To this day, people are trying to find clues to who it was. With that said, i want to recommend the movie that depicts these real events and the nationwide man hunt called "Zodiac" (2007) Stars, Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffilo and Jake Gyllenhaal. Would love to see you watch it for the channel!

Thats MR. Baldamort

Last time I saw it was in the theater 😆

Happy Wednesday, Addie! 😊 This one and "The Dead Pool" are the only two Dirty Harry movies that I've seen. And it's been awhile since I've seen this particular one. Once you're finished with the "Mission Impossible", "Karate Kid", and the "Planet of the Apes" movies, I hope that you'll continue on with the Dirty Harry films. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. For more Clint Eastwood I highly recommend the 1978 "Every Which Way But Loose" and it's 1980 "Any Which Way You Can". Have a great day today! 😊

Another commonly misquoted line, à la "Play it again, Sam" and "We don't need no stinking badges."

Byrd N. Hand

I hope you'll also take on this movie's sequels once you've finished the "Mission: Impossible" and "Planet of the Apes" movies: "Magnum Force" "The Enforcer" "Sudden Impact" (which has Harry's other most famous line) "The Dead Pool" (not to be confused with "Deadpool," obviously 😏)

Happy Wednesday, Addie. Your feeling lucky now that your Dirty Harry journey begins. Things are about to get dirtier in Magnum Force (1973). See you soon for that movie. But the next stop on your Clint Eastwood trifecta is Gran Torino (2008).

Alex Tan

Do you feel lucky Punk?!?
