POINT BREAK (1991) - Full Length Reaction!

Here's the full length reaction to Point Break (1991)! I've been wanting to see Keanu Reeves in this once since I watched Speed, and his performance did not disappoint :) I believe this is the first movie I've seen Patrick Swayze in! Enjoy!

Now you have to watch the bad remake

Sam Lupean

Keanu Reeves was born in 1964. He turns age 60 this year 2024. Lori Petty (Tyler) was Kit (Dottie's younger sister) in A League of Their Own (1992) with Tom Hanks, which I have watched many times.

😺TwitterPated!!!😺

Randolph Tirazona

You can now watch Hot Fuzz again and you'll get a couple more references. For more Lori Petty I'd recommend A League of Their Own (1992), but I'd especially recommend Tank Girl (1995).

Luis Fernandez

This may not be the best movie ever made or anything, but it really did grab my interest the first time I saw it. I was intrigued enough to go looking for info on what Bodhisattva meant. I think I was 9 at the time, because I hadn't done my religion studies yet. This was the second Keanu movie I had seen ("Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" being the first) and the first Patrick Swayze movie. I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Looking forward to whatever comes next!

BubblyRainbows

I've seen short clips of Dirty Dancing (I mean, that lift at the end is ICONIC), but I've never sat down to watch it! I need to watch more Swayze movies!

Addie Counts

Hahaha it sounds like everyone in the world has a crush on Keanu!

Think ive got a man crush on KR too but my girlfriend is not impressed due her saying hes for her only. pfffffftttt. 🤪

PHILLIP CORNISH

I don't know, man. Cole Trickle is pretty ridiculous.

Philip Davetas

Dude, one of my favorite flicks of all-time. "Utah, get me two!"

Philip Davetas

I thought in your intro and outro OR during the movie you would mention more about Patrick Swayze. I patiently waited but then you didn’t. I was thinking it was referring to your channel but it never happened. You must have truly never seen Dirty Dancing. G A S P jk…kinda But then, that’s why you have a reaction channel. No need to add it to a poll, it would simply bury any other selection listed. I hope you make an executive decision and watch another PS movie soon. Take care of yourself, Addie! p.s. A crush on Keanu? What a shocker. jk jk jk no surprise there.

Billy Dancel

Patrick Swayze recommendations: Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Road House, To Wong Foo..., Red Dawn, and the SNL Chippendales audition sketch with Chris Farley.

Would you like to watch Keanu Reeves or Patrick Swayze? Yes.

Julian San

If you like Point Break, then you will also like (the first) Fast & Furious, which is just a beat-for-beat remake of Point Break but with cars instead of surfboards.

Tenn Seven

Ah, yes, _Point Break_ and the infamous skydiving scene! _Mythbusters_ had a fantastic episode where they tackled many of the tropes from this scene. For a summary, see: https://mythresults.com/episode94

I'll admit I've never seen "Dirty Dancing" (and have no desire to ever do so), but I must confess that "She's Like the Wind" - from the movie, and sung by Swayze himself - is one of my all-time favorite guilty pleasure songs.

Happy Wednesday, Addie! 😊 This is one of my favorite Patrick Swayze(RIP always) and Keanu Reeves movies. Definitely looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Three more excellent Patrick Swayze movies that I very highly recommend: "The Outsiders", "Dirty Dancing", and "Ghost". Have a great day today! 😊

Randee Carreno

The same can be said about Last Action Hero (1993).

Another great one from Swayze is Ghost

Happy Wednesday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Point Break (1991). I'm looking forward to watching this movie, soon. BTW, nice Keanu Reeves shirt.

Alex Tan

Yeah, I saw that you added this and "GoodFellas" to your Letterboxd account... even though they didn't win any poll. Are you going rogue on us? 🙃 BTW, the 'Watchlist' option on Letterboxd is where you can put all the movies you eventually intend to watch, as per the question you were asked in the last Q&A.

Byrd N. Hand

Addie, now you see where Tony Stark got the nickname for Thor. (Patrick Swayze's long blonde hair)

Bill W

Johnny Utah. Maybe the most ridiculous character name ever.
