PREY - Full Length Reaction!

I haven't felt super compelled to watch the Predator sequels (wasn't a bad movie, it just wasn't my fav sci-fi action movie), but I didn't realize this movie was a prequel until pretty recently! Decided to give this one a try (and I actually liked it a lot!). Enjoy!

Addie, you missed the Native paintings at the end. They told the story of this movie through the drawings. Then they gave us a glimpse of what happens as they were celebrating Naru's triumph. It's kinda like a cliffhanger for Prey 2.

2023-09-29 01:59:16 +0000 UTCWe may not have seen Ollie but he was nice enough to let us know he was around. When this came out I over watched it because it's that good!! I can see how you favor this a little bit more. It's that worthy. I forgot about the snake scenes and just before it popped up I was like, "Poor Addie!" Shang Chi came out the year before this and when Naru tied the rope to her weapon it reminded me of his sister's weapon of choice. Predator vs Bear. Something I never knew I needed to see. The reveal of this Predator was not what we're used to. It was far better! The net kill was my favorite of all the movies! It was introduced in Predator 2 but not that extreme. When she was talking to the last trapper, she was in a way talking to the Predator as well. Naru is standing close enough to the Predator as it kills him that the weapon cuts a bit of her hair off but she doesn't even flinch. Her war cry at the end was so awesome!! Take care of yourself, Addie!!

2023-09-28 05:05:59 +0000 UTCThough the Predator technology was much more advanced than the Comanche’s, I like how it wasn’t as advanced as the 1980s Predator. It shot metal spikes instead of using a plasma cannon. The helmet seemed to be made of some type of bone-like material, other than metallic. And it seemed less evolved, being smaller in stature. I don't blame you for liking this one better than the original. I found I liked both the original and this one about the same. An extra point goes to the original for me because-- well... It's Schwarzenegger. lol "Do it now! Kill me! I'm here! KILL ME!"-- Dutch

2023-09-27 20:49:09 +0000 UTCAlfred Hitchcock is prob my favorite director, and I have seen many of his films, including slapstick like The 39 Steps. You should definitely incorporate a little Hitchcock into your horror movie dive whether Psycho wins the poll or not, as his horror movies are iconic, and Psycho is responsible for the modern-day slasher films. Personally, Addie, I would love to see you react to either The Birds or Psycho, The Birds being my favorite and in my top ten fav movies of all time. (it's that good) To have my favorite YouTuber react to my favorite film and director all in the same video would be amazing. :)

I absolutely love Prey, it's one of the best movies to come out in 2022, it's easily the best Predator sequel, and I agree that you can argue it's better than the first Predator. There will always be something special about the original, of course. But I do think Prey is a "better" movie, and it's one of the most beautifully shot movies I've seen.

Matter a fact in the second predator film one of the trophies in a interior ship sequence shows a severed alien head from the alien movies you seen. So it sort of teases that they are the same universe. Figured I'd mention that since you won't watch the second predator film, so you wouldn't mind a spoiler :)
