No spoiler with Decken power xD It was mentioned in the last two episodes ! Also, I understand that the fact that a fishman might need a bubble to protect himself from water seems counterintuitive. But he does need it. He's a Devil Fruit user, so the sea affects him like any other user. The only difference is that he won't drown

I don't think they explicitly said devil-fruit but I would say that it would not have been a spoiler. Though I myself did not comment on it anyhow.
