Ah; finally I get to be properly introduced to the quote "Rabbit Mommy" that I see people simping over all across the internet XD You know; as strange as it might sound, I think what Hawks said at the end there is one of the more profound philosophies about hero work I've heard in the show. He's basically saying, "The best days I have being a hero are the days when I don't have to be a hero." Realistically, that should be the mindset that every person in law enforcement should have. To get fairly political; I've always been convinced that one of the main reasons cops in America act the way they do is that the concept of "Productivity standards" in police departments that basically say "if you aren't arresting/charging 'x' number of people in a month, you aren't doing your job well enough". Which is just... the most backwards way of thinking (But it's America, so I'm not surprised) If you're in law enforcement; you should always infinitely prefer to have days where you don't have to arrest anyone as opposed to the days when you have to arrest 3 people an hour. Not only because it means you get to do less work for the exact same amount of pay, but it means that people are behaving themselves and not causing trouble which is better for everyone.

2025-10-08 22:54:36 +0000 UTCI don't *love* Endeavour, and I don't think a vast majority of people do, but I am willing to see him as a man struggling to redeem himself, even understanding to some degree that forgiveness isn't something he deserves just because he wants it. He's at the very least a far cry from the cold, psychopathic monster some of his haters portray him as.
