VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE - Full Length Reaction!

Patreon Exclusive! Here's the full length reaction to Venom: Let There Be Carnage! Carnage was insaaaaaaane! Loved seeing more of the relationship between Eddie and Venom in this one. Enjoy!

I watched this movie before seeing some comments on the Venom post about maybe not watching this one before No Way Home. But if it makes you feel any better.... I don't think I know what was happening in the end credit scene hahaha. I thought that maybe it was a blip related thing, even though the timeline would've been off. Soooo... I don't think anything was spoiled because I'm just confused hahaha. Spider-Man: No Way Home is up next!

This film gets a lot of criticism but I'm happy to see you approach it enthusiastically. After No Way Home, the next film on the Sony/Marvel list is Morbius, which also gets a bit of hate but I'll bet you'll enjoy that one as well. You should consider watching Natural Born Killers, which is an Oliver Stone directed film of a Tarantino story. That also has a violent Woody Harrelson in a love story. Or, rather, in a story about violence that has a romantic element to it. At least I found it romantic. I don't know if that film would make my top 50, but it would probably make my top 100.

So yeah the race that Venom is, you can call Symbiotes. What Venom was saying is that Symbiotes are all connected to each other. They share a Hive Mind, they are all one. And, not just in their universe, but across all universes, all of reality. Venom was going to show him, but something occurred and brought them.... to another universe. The Venom movies obviously aren't in the MCU, but in that end scene, Eddie and Venom were brought to the MCU. And that moment was right at the end of Far From Home, where Mysterio leaked Peter's identity. Venom seemed to recognize Peter, even though they've never met. I'm pretty sure it's because as others have said, Spider-Man 3. If all Symbiotes are connected, that includes the Symbiote from Spider-Man 3, that Tobey Maguires Spider-Man faced off against. So Venom does have those memories and when he saw Tom Hollands Spider-Man, it all came rushing back to him. I'll connect more dots later. I cannot wait for No Way Home, Addie!

I did not expect you watching and getting this one up so quickly. If it means we’re one step closer to No Way Home, I’m good with that!! The attacks you saw Carnage hit Venom with… he would do that to ordinary people. The first time we see him after the failed execution, the guards and the visitors who were watching, there would be no mercy. I mentioned on the first Venom. How Riot was the villain I wish we got, his brutality is what I hoped to see from Carnage. Reading a paperback story of Carnage, I could see him kill instantly or drag out a painful death. I wanted more than what they gave. Oh well. You caught on to the feeling of a breakup. I wish I read it but there’s a story-line called “Separation Anxiety” and what I know is that Eddie gets amnesia and Venom can’t stay with him. There’s also more symbiotes to deal with. I wish that could be made! I’ve already got my popcorn for No Way Home!! I’m so excited to see your reaction!! Take care, Addie!! Give Ollie a big hug for me!

You've come a long way since Spider-Man (2002) Its been a rollercoaster. I'm excited to see your Spider-Man: No Way Home reaction next. Thank you 🌆

What do you get when you mix a sociopathic serial killer with a alien symbiote called Carnage... Yep alot of death and mayhem. Pretty sure my first introduction to Carnage was in the video game Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage for the SNES based on the 14-part comic book crossover of the same name where Spider-Man and Venom team up to take down Carnage who formed his own team of D List villains. Mutants! So one aspect I found really cool is Frances Barrison also known as Shriek the woman with the sonic-based superpowers is a Mutant in the comics. In the film it's revealed that her powers are a result of a mutation making her the first Mutant to show up in a Sony Spider-Man project and any Marvel movie that is not X-Men or Deadpool. Do the X-Men exist in this universe like we see in the Fox movies, who knows. Fox was owned by Disney at this point with Disney now owning the rights to the X-Men so I could see them allowing Sony to use the term mutants or Mutation in this film something Fox did not allow when they owned the rights which is why you haven't heard or seen Mutants in the MCU. Lethal Protector: Lethal Protector is actually a really cool Venom comic book run known as Venom: Lethal Protector made up of six-issues from February 1993 to July 1993. Pretty much in this story Venom makes an agreement with Spider-Man that they will leave each other alone, on the condition that Venom commits no crimes. Venom then moves from New York City to San Francisco. Venom pretty much becomes a Hero in San Francisco which is where these movies got the idea from with the only difference being Venom was in San Fran from the start and has not met Spider-Man yet. End Credit: Don't worry too much about that ending relating to Spider-Man. From my understanding of what Venom was saying to Ellie (before the bright light) was Venom pretty much has a connection to every one of his alternate variants throughout the multiverse like a collective consciousness. So from my understanding even though this Venom has never met Spider-Man or Peter Parker this is how Venom knew who Spider-Man was "That Guy" as he recalled the conflicts his alternate versions had with Spider-Man. Which alternate versions we're not sure, Topher Grace Venom fighting Spider-Man from Spider-Man 3 maybe or maybe the many times they fought in the comics. That's how I see that seen anyways. In terms of the bright light and Tom Holland showing up I can't wait to find out what and why this happened. I'd be pretty freaked out if my room warp around me and I found myself.... Here.

Oh shit nice haha! I appreciate all this content. Gonna watch this later. Glad to hear you're still confused lmao

No worries, you watched the movies in the correct order. Venom 2 came out before Spider-Man: No Way Home, so no need to worry about spoilers.

David Crabtree

Yeah no, the end credit is no spoiler (well I mean...something is obviously happening), Venom 2 came out just before No Way Home and it's suppose to be this way. While seeing Tom Holland's Spiderman in a Sony movie was kinda cool, the things Venom talks about, how they all share a hivemind of knowledge & memories over the multiverse is way.. way more important.

Happy Saturday, Addie. I'm so glad you enjoyed Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), just as much as you enjoyed the first film. My girlfriend & I saw it in IMAX, back when it first came out, and we both enjoyed it, even with that post-credit scene where Eddie & Venom see Tom Holland's Spider-Man get exposed on TV. This one is my favorite of the two Venom movies because of Robert Richardson's cinematography, particularly with the taller 1.85:1 aspect ratio. And it's also directed by Andy Serkis, who plays Gollum in LOTR. Next up, Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).

Alex Tan

Eeek can’t wait it’s a good thing you saw all the other spider man movies awhile back
