2025-08-05 16:31:02 +0000 UTCOh yeah; forgot this episode came here. Quick explanation I suppose; this is a crossover episode between One Piece and a different Manga series called Toriko. Oda and the mangaka for Toriko had been friends for years, and the two of them even published a manga crossover between their two series as a way to celebrate the announcement of the anime adaptation of the series. I haven't read it myself, so I'm not sure if this episode is an adaptation of that specific crossover or if Toei just decided to do their own story. (Incidentally, did try to read Toriko before; didn't really care for it myself, but apparently Japan loves it. 25 million copies sold and an 8-year run in Shonen Jump is nothing to sneeze at.)
