2025-08-05 05:20:10 +0000 UTCClarification; you understood Bradley's line of "that's 15 times you've died" as though they've fought a lot of times before and Bradley's always won, but as you saw by the ending scene; Greed had no clue who Bradley was until today, this was the first time they've ever met. Bradley didn't kill Greed 15 times over the years: he killed him 15 times in the span of about 10 minutes. It's funny: I think you're the first reactor I've seen that saw Bradleys eye and didn't instantly jump to "He has the tattoo; he must be one of the sins", Instead you just go "Oh, he's sus and has some connection to them" all the way until they outright namedrop him as being Wrath. (That said; with this ep we've now had 6 sins named, meaning there's still one sin out there that we haven't been formally introduced to yet.) Also; do you remember the whole deal about the previous anime? How it was only partially adapted? This right here is the turning point. This episode is adapted from chapter 29-31 of the manga, and in the original anime they get to this point at around episode 40. (That said, the '03 anime had been also including their own original aspects of the story at the mangakas wishes for about 15-20 episodes by this point, so even by this part of the story the series are radically different in terms of characters, plots, motives, etc.) What this means is that everything that comes after this point in the anime, is not only slower paced since they aren't trying to speedrun through the story as to not bore the people that watched the original adaptation, but is also completely new and different from how the '03 anime played out and ended. So while I doubt it'll actually happen, I think it might be interesting for you to watch the complete version of the 03 anime after you finish this one, just so you can fully compare the two.
