2025-07-30 23:25:51 +0000 UTCI don't think Shanks on purpose lost his arm, just to teach a lesson that Luffy didn't even ever learn. That dude Luffy has no sense of danger. Shanks in a split second decision saved luffy by defending him from the creature and lost an arm by circumstance, not by choice and on purpose. Shanks back then definitely wasnt as strong as today. He looks much different now today, buff and all. He must have become an emperor much after the arm incident, getting stronger during the time. Only MCs aren't supposed to get stronger with time.
