You should watch the clone wars series (in chronological order) if you really like start wars, it explain a lot of things

“He has control over the Senate and the Courts. He’s too dangerous to be left alive.” Mace, honey, hypocrisy is not a good color on you!

Best of the trilogy, but i think i like rogue one as a close second, i think you will too addie.

Fantastic reaction Addie! My favorite bit of writing from this episode: When Anakin and Obi-Wan rescue Palpatine, who tells Anakin to leave Obi-Wan behind, and Anakin says "His fate will be the same as ours". All three of them are killed on a Death Star, by a Sith Lord.

Out of the three prequels, this is easily my favorite movie, but that’s not really saying much. Anakin’s and Padmé’s dialogue is still painful, there’s still a ton of CGI, and still no onscreen chemistry between Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman, but your reactions to the movies and how invested in them you get definitely brings to mind how much joy I got out of the original trilogy when I first watched them in theaters. Grievous was a great, Kaleesh warrior, then Darth Sidious asked him if he wanted to have most of his body replaced with cybernetics, and he agreed because he wanted to kill Jedi. The process wasn’t perfected yet, so he had breathing issues and coughed a lot. When Anakin was beaten by Obi-Wan, the process had been improved, but still wasn’t perfect, so Vader had issues with his cybernetics in the beginning. I think you should watch ‘The Clone Wars’ animated series. It takes place in between Ep. II and Ep. III, and shows a lot of things better than the movies, in my opinion. You get to see Anakin’s journey, as well as how bad the war was for the clones.

That and the Clone Army had been decommissioned after the Clone Wars ended, and the clones had also been given an accelerated growth rate, so they had nearly all died out not long into the galaxy's Imperial era.

'Nicely'? Not really. It undercuts a lot of story details from Eps. III & IV, and often makes Obi-Wan look rather foolish. 🤔

A pretty common misconception is that the Clone troopers and Stormtroopers are the same. The Empire stopped using clone trooper and switched to conscripted soldiers. But some stormtroopers like the 501st (Vader's elite Stormtrooper battalion) remained clones.

I'm glad you saw the prequels, are they flawed, yes, are they bad... well just ATOC in my opinion but ROTS is as I've said before its George Lucas' best film. Just a bit of trivia, Christopher Lee who plays Count Dooku had an extraordinary life until his death in 2015, the man lived and had an expensive film career most notably for playing Count Dracula. He was also the stepbrother of James Bond creator Ian Fleming who partially based Bond on Lee due to his supposed background as an SOE British secret agent during WW2. Also, it is my belief that Padme wouldn't have died if Anakin didn't turn to the Dark Side, you may be correct in speculating that it was Palpatine who was giving Anakin his haunting visions to lure him to the Dark Side and destroy the Jedi but Padme died still because of a broken heart and lost the will to live not because of the Force choke.

What an interesting observation about the "jedi funeral," Addie. I've seen ep. 3 more times than I care to admit, but never thought about Anakin's immolation as his Jedi funeral. It is a little hard for me to give Lucas credit for that idea as the writer, but, WTH, let's go ahead and give him credit. And kudos to you for making that connection.

In Palpatine voice "Now, young apprentice, you are ready for the Kenobi series. "

great video, really enjoy rewatching the whole series so far with you. recommend that you watch the Obi-Wan series on Disney+ after this, as it ties it nicely with the story

I rewatch the original and prequel trilogy once or twice a year. To watch them along with someone who's experiencing it for the first time is really awesome. There is much more to watch within the Star Wars Universe but I hope you continue with the Obi Wan Series which had it's finale the previous week. Timeline wise it takes place between Episode 3 and 4.

Great Reaction!!...this made me go watch the Obi Wan series again

Well, you've now seen the 6 Star Wars movies that count. I'll just leave it at that... 😶 While I still wish you'd watched them in one of the orders I suggested to you (your reactions suggest to me you'd have had no trouble with them), I hope you can at least step back and see how they would've panned out -- particularly how first learning Luke and Leia were twins in this movie would've been far more shocking (compared to the rather 'afterthought' presentation of that info in ROTJ); you go through most of this movie assuming that Padmé is merely pregnant with Luke... and then BOOM! She's carrying twins, and then DOUBLE BOOM! That twin is Leia.

Anakin may be a fallen hero but Sidious is the devil. Also Qui Gon Jinn is the first Jedi in a call millennia to become the force ghost but he didn’t master that training so he couldn’t manifest himself to others but he can still speak to them using his distorted voice.
