Run Lucy you don't need this sexual harassment!

Actually it would seem the panel i'm thinking of ISN'T set for this scene at all! It's an entirely different scene where Joyce happens to be wearing this exact same shirt? Mysterious!

It took me a bit to recognize that Joyce's outfit is from one of the preview panels that was kinda confusing because it wasn't on a full character model... Looking thoroughly at the preview panels is a dire endeavor, it's like reading a prophecy... You can predict bits and pieces of where the story is going to go scene from scene but it's only ever enough to form an incomplete narrative and one that can change in ways you wouldn't expect. My own prediction for where this narrative was going is long dead, my theory early this year before Everything was that Dorothy would come to terms with being bi but at the time be unable to be with Joyce and ultimately bond with Becky over this ending the faux rivals bit for good and becoming genuinely good friends... Parts of it came true and parts still despite everything could come to fruition... Two parts of the prophecy have yet to happen and i wait with now growing anxiety to see them come to pass.

"Hey Jacob, just had a chat with Joyce before. You wouldn't believe what she's been up to"

Logibear

Honestly, the more I think about it I think Lucy is going to fucking love this hot goss. Lucy: so you mean to tell me a week after I dumped Walky and 5 days after he rebounded with Dorothy, Dorothy dumped him for you? Joyce: ….yes? Lucy: Delicious.

Empress of Robots

Huh. Y'know I was considering Lucy when I was wondering what the next brown woman to be dragged into this would be, but I thought it was too unlikely

I might regret saying this, but I might not, too. So I'll just say it: Now that Asma's gone for the moment, feelings seem to have calmed down about her. The comments field got really, really ugly there for a while. Super ugly. Therefore, it's time to point out that yelling at people, and swearing angrily at them, makes them LESS likely to listen to you. They're much more likely to listen to you, and end up agreeing with you, if you just explain why you disagree. It's the difference between saying "You gotta admit that I've got a point, right?" and saying "You gotta admit that you're a stupid piece of shit, right?" The first one, people might agree with. The second one, they never will, because you're setting yourself up as their enemy. The ONLY way to convince people is not to make yourself their enemy. I'm not saying, to use an extremely extreme example, that black people need to be super friendly towards any KKK members they might happen upon. That would be a ridiculous thing to claim. What I'm saying is that every time I've managed to convince my... differently politically aligned... family members that I have a point, it's because I didn't position myself as their enemy, but as somebody who just wants to explain why he sees things a different way than they do. Then, they actually listen. (One relative once thanked me for explaining why I disagreed, instead of just yelling at him right away.) I'm not saying you can't disagree with people. What I'm saying is, disagree with them in a way that *works*, and that makes the comment field a better place for everyone. Otherwise, you risk becoming like that particular kind of proselytizing Christian who's more about making themselves feel good than about actually converting people. (I've had my share.) Because the reason I stick to this comments field is because the regular site gets so unpleasant, and I wished I could have at least *one* place where we don't see each other as enemies that must be attacked, but as people discussing a comic we like. (And yes, I'm aware that some discussions, like of Asma's Muslim faith, also apply to the real world in some ways.) Thank you. Now that I've had my say, you're allowed to agree. Or to disagree. But if you're going to disagree, please ask yourself if you really do disagree with the ideas that you should be addressed in a way that isn't actively hostile or aggressive, and that you should try to argue your opinion in a way that works instead of one that always fails. P.S. I just realized that tons of people will think I'm addressing them specifically. I'm not. I can't even keep track of who said what, and I don't intend to return to the dumpster fire to find out, honestly.

Hey, Lucy. You're on TMI duty today.

In Walky’s case, any _additional_ gloating. As some gloats were already gloated.

Shane Wegner

Joyce’s face in panel 4 is unhinged. Our girl is coming apart at the seams.

Tifani

I meant to make a joke about Joyce having to call in the b squad group of friends to talk to about this shit. Aka the casual acquaintances at best. Next up Roz!

Tifani

joyce dont start a conversation like that, lucy just sat down
