I still absolutely want to see Walky VS Joyce. They've had so much shit brewing since the very start of the comic and i really want to see it come to a head. If any two members of the cast just need to fucking rip into each other (not in that way please) it's those two. It's like the godzilla vs king kong matchup of DOA.

2025-07-21 03:18:10 +0000 UTCI was thinking about how this would affect Walky earlier today. For the most part, I just feel bad for him. Then I remembered how incredibly fuckin' snide he's been to Joyce and part of me is like, "Get dunked on!!!!" Small part.

2025-07-21 01:39:47 +0000 UTCfirst of all: hell yes i love them so much this storyline is making me giddy from how happy i am now secondly: i find it kind of interesting how commonly people are saying 'poly fixes this' when... as a poly girl it really doesnt. cheating is cheating, poly or not, and while i think joe would be better off doing polyamory, and i think it might work for joyce too, it still doesnt work at this point for any constellation including one another. putting my cards on the table here, i don't much care for joe. i think he got off extremely lightly from his ten-ish years comics time/few years of highschool+1 semester of college of treating women like objects. even so, i still really feel bad for him, given the trauma of his dad cheating on his mom constantly and then the first girl he (apparently) fell in love with cheating* on him. what it comes down to, i think, is that poly is really fucking hard to pull off successfully even when you don't start it off in the worst possible way, with dishonesty and broken trust. not that i dont LOVE the dishonesty and broken trust here since it makes a good story, but gotta call balls and strikes here, you know? i think the only way joe would be okay with joe/dorothy after this point is if he had a real disregard for himself and his own self-respect. as much as i dont like him, he doesn't deserve this, and i simultaneously believe that joyce is a perfect autumn blossom and also that joe can do better than her at this point. basically i think that while joe and joyce would both probably maybe be better off as poly ultimately they shouldn't be that way right now until they figure out how to properly love at least one person, minimum, at a time. also, if there's a poly joyce route, she should be getting with becky instead, if anyone at all.
