The Avatar State is a purely spiritual unlocking. So he doesn’t have to go through intense physical training like Lee but has to go through just as much intense mental and spiritual training. He has to detach himself from worldly restraints. It’s also easier because he’s an Airbender and is accustomed to meditating and spiritual work. Aangs time with the Guru spans 7 days, 1 day for each chakra points.

"Even metal, is just a part of earth, that has been purified, and refined" I'll NEVER forget this episode lol. 15 year-old me was flipping tf out when she hit the box and could see the pieces of earth 💀💀💀 Toph is an SSS-rank at this point lol

2024-08-13 01:39:20 +0000 UTCThey had to speed it up to condense it into a single episode; but the whole chakras concept is actually a very real practice, and mostly accurate in the way it's used and spoken about as well. It's based on a meditative concept from Hindism, and while it's changed a lot from the initial writings on the topic, the 7-chakra system that the show is inspired by started appearing up about 100 years ago and is still in use today, mostly in the practices of yoga and meditation. (Now as to how *true* the idea is is going to depend on who you talk to. Some people will say that chakra 100% a real measurable thing; while others will simply say that it's an effective tool for visualization, and while it does work; it's only because it helps people focus and think about specific concepts, rather than doing anything physical within your body. Personally; I'm in the latter camp XD) Also; yes, Pahtik did actually know Aangs old master. It was confirmed on the offical site as the series was coming out that the guy is 150 years old.
