As for Jaime, I've always said it. What's rotten about this character is his relationship with his sister. Everything reprehensible about him is linked to that. Otherwise, he's a good guy. Morally superior to his father and sister.

I’d honestly even recommend just trying house of the dragon instead (prequel to the game of thrones, as it is pretty good at the moment)
