Funny enough the whole Sun/Moon dynamic with the Water-Benders and Fire-Benders was already foreshadowed. If you remember back when Aang tried learning Fire-bending from the Master, the first lesson he was given was to meditate on the heat of the sun, as it is "The greatest source of fire, but in complete harmony with nature"
