I choose to read the Lucy comment as extending a welcome while offering an out if she wants it. I’m willing to cut them a certain amount of slack for good intentions, except for the systematically excluding Sal and favoring Walky all those years, which they should apologize for and try to make amends for. I don’t see a better option, I doubt seppuku would actually restore honor or make Sal feel better.
