He said "It's not a typical summon using charms, it's a summoning technique based on shadows, which is adaptable." So he was basically impressed low key. Also, Megumi has been making different hand signs for different animal summons. Those hand signs look like something you must have done as a kid. To form an animal like a dog etc in the shadow on the wall. Megumi does it and animals get summoned out of the shadows.

That special grade was gonna use Domain Expansion to land that energy blast on Todo, without him able to dodge it no matter where he teleports to inside the domain, cuz domain ensures guaranteed hit effect of your cursed techniques no matter what. So getting stuck inside an enemy's domain is really bad news. Probably even Gojo will be in trouble inside a domain, faced with such strong attack. Back then against volcano head, Gojo mentioned something like that himself. That his infinity defence can be bypassed by the enemy domain with a very powerful attack. Guaranteed hit effect of domain expansions are powerful. I really liked this concept of 'the zone' that you enter after landing a black flash. We all have felt that 'omnipotence' feeling on certain days when we are on a roll.

2023-11-27 05:49:02 +0000 UTCI would like to point out that Grade 1 sorcerers are supposed to be able to rival Special Grade curses, but Special Grade is too wide of a category. Todo is known to have beaten Special Grades BUT 1 Sukuna finger curse from earlier episodes was considered special grade and 20 fingers would be special grade too. So this ranking system is looking outdated as Special Grades have many tiers in themselves. There can be a lot of gap in two special grade curses' strengths. Also, you can strengthen your curse technique by telling its rules to opponent. Reminder, that's all. Curses are made up of cursed energy so they heal with just curse energy if they are skilled but humans can't do the same that easily. Humans need reverse curse technique or something. Either way, healing is taxing.
